I don't know if this is normal, but when I'm wacthing the prologue or any other cinematics, there is no sound. I can only hear the music and other sound effects. When Woods is talking, there is no sound coming from his mouth. I've enabled subtitles, I know he's talking, but I can't hear a thing.
This is only happening in cinematic, while I'm playing I can hear everything just fine.
I have the same error but in multiplayer, singleplayer and zombies mode work normal but in multiplayer i don't know why i just dont have sound at all..
Same here, the sound cuts in and out at exactly the same spots every time. Updated drivers etc etc but still the same.I also have the crashing problem on the second level helicopter bit like alot of other people with an nvidia card. Wish I could take it back as I cant even play multiplayer, it crashes that often I get banned for 'rage quiting'. Not impressed.
Bump. Still no sound in single player cinematics. For example, when Woods is sitting in his wheelchair talking about stuff, I can't hear him. I can hear other sound effects though, but no speech effects.
Surely I am not the only one who is expierecing this?
I'm having the same problem during sinle player in the same place which you mention and also in multiplayer where it warns player about things such as lightning strikes and UAVs, i'm not sure about zombies as i havent checked yet but i'm sure that the problem will occurr their aswell. When i first got the game on release day i could hear everything as normal but in the days to follow the voices have gone as you have mentioned in the original post. To try snd resolve the problem it spoke to the manager of the game store where the game was purchased and he had heard nothing about this and told me to wait and see if a patch was to be released to fix this problem, but he said it was unlikly until thousands of people complain about this problem.
Solved. Adjust audio settings for PS3. see this link
Do you know if their is a similar fix for Xbox 360?
if anyone has any information about fixing the problem for xbox 360 even if they are reading this and have not posted, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
This is what Activision have suggested FOR XBOX 360, it's not a lot to go on and doesn't really help but it's a start.
If the information provided in this link works for you then please leave a comment on which route you took and any that didn't work, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hey guys,
I was having the same issue, except on my PC, and I managed to fix it after trying something random. I went to single player, went to Settings -> Audio, and towards the bottom where it says Sound Device, I just tried a different option. My default one (Speaker SB Audigy) hadn't been giving me any dialogue, but when I tried the next option (in my case, Digital Audio Interface [SB Audigy]), after beginning a New Story in Campaign, I could suddenly hear the conversations again. I had a third option too (Digital Audio S/PDIF) which also seemed to work when I tried it.
This is obviously for the PC version, I don't own any consoles and don't know if the PS3 or XBOX versions even allow you to change the Sound Device option? I know everyone has different setups, but I just thought I'd share in case this works for anyone else, or at the very least, for some PC users experiencing the same issue
