ps3 freezes when searching for more players...anyone else having this problem?

didnt happen first day i had the game, 2nd day it froze in the lobby in multiplayer when looking for more players, whole ps3 froze had to turn off by hitting the button on the ps3. turned it back on, had to go through the improper shut down scan, and it happened the next time i looked for a game so i turned it off for the night. this morning played a few games and it did it again. is anyone having problems with their ps3 freezing before a multiplayer game???
