Dev's we deserve answers

Dear Dev's
I've always liked COD but why has it turned into the frankenstein that it is today? MW3 is a very very very cool game congrats on that but it's unplayable online to alot of people and has been since it's release. Why must you continue to make those that have good internet suffer the most? You're hosting system is like something a room full of monkeys made. Here's a example.
I join a game that's allready running, I get up to 13 kills and 8 deaths using custom class 1 then notice someone in my team has left and wait while a new host is picked. After the new host is picked I'm still using custom class 1 but all of a sudden frankenstein has shown up and I go on a 8 deathstreak at which point my friend says to me the 3 words that send shivers down my spine everytime I pop this game on "maybe you're host". So I leave knowing I'm host.
Here's the question I really want you to answer and the question I think most of your gamers who are stuck in this circle of being host all the time deserve a answer to.
When I'm not host I fire 1 bullet into a guys head and he dies, when I am host I fire 2 bullets from the same gun into a guys head and he dies. Why does it take twice as many bullets to kill someone when I'm host and why do flash grenades, stun grenades, frags and semtex (unless stuck to target or direct impact) do absolutely nothing to the enemy when I'm host?
If you're a gamer like me that's suffering this hosting issue ever since this game came out just post "Answer Us" in a message below.
This is a global issue affecting PS3 & XBOX360 it's also a issue that appears to have turned a aweful lot of COD fans off playing MW3 or even buying into COD games in the future.
If anything being host should be the ideal way to play and not a downgrade of service. Try applying our basic network troubleshooting for the console in question

Thanks for the reply AVTIAssist. I don't use a router or modem with router capabilities. My PS3 is direct wired to my isp provided modem 32mb download 3mb upload. I know hosting should be the ideal way to play but unfortunately it isn't for many gamers and this is why I posted you to begin with. You work for Activision how about asking one of the Dev's to look into it.
irielegend have you tried toggling the firewall the modem has? Contacted your ISP and moved from a dynamic IP address to a static IP? We do not recommend following the suggestion maccabi gave however it is a temporary workaround. 50% of users that follow the QOS instructions have been known to have the same problem work its way back after awhile.
From personal experience I had the same problem as well in MW2 and when I added a router and executed the instructions provided in the links above it corrected the problem. Playing with a router is an ideal connection for online gaming opposed to a modem only or modem with routing capabilites.

with the greatest of respect OH PLEASE
being host and having a basically unplayable experience has been the number 1 complaint (after lag and matchmaking) since this game came out
its mentioned more on the hotfix thread than anything else.
Just do what everyone else who gets host does.. if you have qos on your router, lower the upload bandwidth to your console (theres alot of information on what to set it at on the forums if you search) this will allow you to play the game fine but take you out of the host selection
I had to hold my tongue on that one too. I understand that it was supposed to be a good thing to be the host but often it makes the game unplayable. Which is why if you see 1 host migration you likely will see 3 or 4 more in the same game. I don't know what combination of mechanics causes this but it's been an issue from day one. If I were to guess it would be good ping (ie you are going to be the host) but poor line quality. So you can't handle the traffic involved with being the host. But I'm no communication specialist. So please accept my appologies if this thought turns out to be whoafully ignorant.
Thanks for the reply maccabi I don't have a router with QOS at the moment so I guess I'm stuck in this cycle of being host. Shame they never told us we'd need a qos capable router in order to fully benefit from playing this game online.
I have alot of loses because if you cant kill someone you had the drop on i leave sure enough host migration pops up. Black ops i welcomed being host here its a waist of my time and aggravation. And still no ops & challenges. Did everyone quit.
We never got a Dev reply imagine that. I've found the only way I can play MW3 is if my connection is on strict. I know it sounds bizaar but crap internet = good MW3 & Good internet = crap MW3.
