BO2 Gold clan tags

So I've read up that your clan has to be level 10 for gold clan tags. I was just playing with some players who had the gold tags so I checked and their clan is only level 1,

Anyone know how?

    It's just a guess but in one of the Elite for BO2 videos they mentioned that MW3 clans would get to keep their clantags.  I assumed that they would just keep them in reserve for them but maybe they are getting the added benefit of getting them gold early.

      Well I have my own mw3 clan and I can't use our tag,  and their mw3 clan was quite low so I don't see why they Wud get it and not us. I'm assuming there's a glitch or I'm just an idiot lol

        Someone else replied a similar thread I made on another forum. If you use the same clan tag you have on ELITE it will turn gold on BO2. Problem is I can't use the same clan tag because there is a ( ! ) in our clan tag. BO does not handle special characters in clan tags like MW3 does. So does that mean we have to change our clan tag completely to make this work? If so, this really would suck.

          yeah dude I changed our clan tag as it had characters in it. Our tag now only has letters and we got gold on BO2 with our clan being level 1 but level 17 on MW3

          ive said the same thing on a another thread, my clan tag in MW3 is [M!] but i cant use it anymore because BO2 wont let use symbols in our clan tag. it would suck if i have to change it.

    OK, this is very simple..

     

    Your Clan must be at level 10 to get the gold tags..

     

    I have been wondering this myself as we have had about 30 members online since midnight last night, playing, and we still dont have gold tags.

     

    So, log into elite and go to your clan, and look at the level.

     

    For example, my clan all had stats, but the clan level was still at 1, and said we have 0 of 100 xp needed to get to level 2

     

    So, the issue is with elite(as always)...Some how elite is not picking up the data from bops2...so, im sure just give it time and it will just appear, but yea, you need to go into elite and look at your clan level.

      the only way to level up a clan is through clan challenges and clan ops, there hasnt been any for black ops 2

        For those clans with characters in their clan tag, I say just wait till your clan reaches level 10 in BO2 before you make any changes to your clan tag on Elite.

        That is my issue, we have the gold clan tags in MW3...The Clan tags are also the same..No special Characters.. just two letters and a number...and we dont have gold tags

    Well, I tried to imput the same clan tag name I have on Elite into my Black Ops 2 and it hasnt turn into gold. It has no special characters: B0PE

     

    Any ideas?

      is your clan level 10 or higher on MW3? If not then you will have to wait till you reach level 10 in BO2.

    Mine had special characters, now I've changed the clan tag it's now gold or w.e it is.. I had to quit the game for it to show, although I couldn't tell if it was gold or not, I had to join a game to see if it was. And it was :)

      hola para tener las etiquetas de oro hay que poner justamente la insignia que pone en el elite, En black ops 2 donde pone insignia de clan y automaticamente grabas y reinicias la ps3 o vas a el menu modo campaña y luego entrais ah multijugador y ya lo teneis puesto en oro.
