Did you read that article? They stated that the people who were playing Halo 4 early were banned for having pirated it to jtag consoles. They don't ban people for legit copies.
People where banned for playing Halo 4 early Look it up ! For a start its not a "legit" copy your not Surpose to have it . The retailer doesn't have permission to hand it out early, the gamer doesn't have permission to play it early . Not really hard to understand .
The retailer isn't supposed to sell it early, but the consumer did nothing wrong.

well first off this guy does not have a retail version or he would not have been banned. I got my shipments in on friday of this game and I have played all the cods early since MW2 and I have not been banned yet. A retail version will not get you banned no matter what if people are being banned it will be because they have a modded console
Sellers have released the retail version of this game all the way to Russia. Not copies but actual retail versions of this game.
You will notice the OP who started this thread has gotten banned for gameplay on an UNRELEASED game and not a modded console.
On around page 7 the OP has shown the proof. It says "Notification of permanent suspension, Prerelease title play" not Modification of Xbox console,Modification of Xbox Live, etc.
Just because some player modded Halo 4 and got banned means nothing with this game whatsoever. There ARE versions of the retail game out there. We are not talking about Halo 4, we are talking about BLOPS2. We are also talking about NOW and not some game from a year ago or longer. Things have changed, even the MS Terms of Use have changed for XBL customers. Twice since last COD game release.
So far the proof has been shown by the OP, can anyone of the people who think you wont get banned show us any proof whatsoever that you have gotten a legit copy of this game and played online ?
The buyer can buy it early if he wants to, more power to him, but once he puts the game into the console then he violated XBL policy.
Foxhound has also stated that early play on an unreleased title can get you banned. Anyone want to argue with Foxy ?
*holds paw up* ME!!!! I argue with Foxy!!
Nah, argue with the fox and get bit by the hound.

As has been stated here multiple times, the Halo 4 early leak penalties were unlike any other "play early" scenario, purely because Halo 4 leak had some pretty significant criminal authority interest behind it as well.
While a retailer releasing a game early and fans playing it early is one thing, stealing copies from studios and distributing them when they hadn't even been shipped to distributers yet, is an entirely other thing
I took the OP's impressions with a pinch of salt.
The fact of the matter is we won't know what Black Ops 2 is until at least a month or two after release.
We are all bound to say that it feels fresh and doesn't feel stale, because it's new and shiny and bright. But what happens come December and January, when people figure out what the best classes are and resort to their old ways of playing?
Will it still be stale then?
Call of Duty moves in cycles: we get super excited about it, it's Christmas day and we are in love, and that honeymoon period lasts a few weeks, and then we get critical about it, and then we hate it,and then we get bored of it, and then we hear about the new CoD and we hype it up, and then we get super excited about it, and before you know it you are right back at square one again.
I feel sorry for you Tick Tac because that wasnt the case for me with Black Ops. But half your comments are true when it came to MW3.
As for black ops, that game was fun from start to finish, And i think with the 10 pick system i will have more than that 1 top class only, i think ill have atleast 3
all slight variations to my favorite, but all better in their own way depending on how my enemy plays.
And then ill have favorite class on type of primarys. From most used to least, all with slight variations, starting with 3assault classes 3 SMG classes 2 Shotgun classes and then two random classes. Probably a ballistic iron sight sniper class, and then a completely random stupid fun class ![]()
Now you might say you can do this already, but its the fine tuning with this pick 10 thats going to make it so worth while.
PLUS YOU GOT ZOMBIES CAMPAIGN, ZOMBIES MULTPLAYER, SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN, MULIPLAYER!!!!! COMBAT TRAINING...
If you think this is just going to be another CoD, be prepared to be pleasantly shocked ![]()
Well, I find this hard to believe because it is almost unprecedented. It is "very early" though, as some have said. That certainly could put a bullseye on anyone this early. It's another thing when it's this Friday, and thousands more are playing. I've personally had access to both MW3 and Black Ops and started playing when the servers came on, which was about 3-4 days early.
People referencing the halo 4 bans, that was a few weeks ago and yes, those were totally leaked and pirated copies. Not legitimate, packaged retail discs.
Lastly, check this out. As you know, Halo 4 officially launches tomorrow. However, even last Friday the developer tweeted this, which was retweeted by Xbox Support, which is how I saw it:
Some folks playing Halo 4 today were banned in-game on accident. Technical glitch. We're working on the fix and so sorry for the error.
A short time later, they tweeted this: The banning issue was resolved at 6PM and pre-release traffic has returned to normal. Apologies again for the inconvenience.
So there you go, even people playing Halo 4 early were "accidently" banned 4 days early and the developer apologized and fixed it. Then stated "pre-release traffic has returned to normal."
Either that or Treyarch has some serious marketing going on!!! LOL
