Do we need to cancel, or will payments auto-stop?

Posted by Sixshots on Oct 15, 2012 2:38 PM

As a paying member of Call of Duty Elite Premium, I'm just wondering if I need to cancel my subscription (since it's going to be free), or do I just leave it and it will take care of itself?

Thanks...

I would like to know this as well.  I would think it would not renew automatically since Elite will now be free.

You can remove auto renew by going into your manage accounts section. Well on the Xbox  anyway.

If you're concerned about it call your platform of choice's customer support and speak with them about it.

    I would..

    • Make the call.
    • Discuss the issue.
    • Take whatever feedback they have and consider requesting the auto-renewal to be disabled.
    • Have your support ticket number/ID forwarded to you so that you can keep track of the situation.

I've had mine turned off mostly because I don't use a CC with my Xbox or Playstation.

Hind sight being 20/20 it is now clear 3arc and inifity ward being 2 different companies, why would elite for 1 be the same for the other. Activision should have required to the 2 to make elite info carry over but they did not. Now what was being sold as a 1 year membership with auto renewal is being called a season of content. I intentionally purchased my elite premium membership when the first dlc drop for mw3 occurred. My thought process was that i would have 1 month carry over from my membership and auto renew for blops 2. That is not going to happen.

I believe it should be a one-time payment for Elite in MW3 since it's not even available in your console to purchase again.
