At this point I'm just conspiracy theorizing that their business intent was to get people hooked on the clan stuff and bonuses so they could charge for them in the future.  The concern would be they would know how to make the free version of elite less satisfying to the consumer.  Which is great business.  I think they are in a permanent state of delay right now because they are waiting to see what they have and they want to wait untill as close to release as possible to drop the hammer. 

It could all be paranoia.  I would probably buy elite if the BO2 maps came with it because I like what I see from treyarch.

If maps were included they would require a new elite account subscription for those who have recently signed up or their would be mention of a limit to map pack downloads.  League play also sounds like something that would be elite only.   Basically your friends/clanmates would inspire you to spend the extra money.

I am still on the fence, too many questions still need to be answered. I am a founder will my status cary over to elite 2.0, will they give ps3 clan leaders space to post clan guide lines,will it be reliable on ps3, will founder entitlements cary over, are they gonna charge us for it and then give it away for free again(I hope not), will they improve the stat tracker. Elite as it is right now is not worth 50.00 bucks. I think they are delaying because of money, this was not an issue during mw3 season because they had to replace infinity ward, but black ops 2 is treyarch they are complete and do not need beachhead, so who is going to pay them to do elite this time and why shuold they get a cut of treyarch DLC profit?

If Elite is gonna be required for Clan Ops in Black Ops 2, and BO2 continues to have clan related stuffs, I might renew.

They need to hurry and announce the deets. Weren't they supposed to announce the details by last month? Were already almost half way through October lol. I've already got elite reserved and payed off at GameStop, but I may just cancel it and put it towards halo 4 if they keep holding out on us

It is very unlikely that I pay fro this crap service again. They've screwed my clan out on massive amounts of xp because the stupid website won't let us enlist in ops. We've talked to customer support over and over and all they tell us is "that sucks' I''m sure they are aware of the problem and are attempting to fix it."

Almost two weeks with no ops... So yeah, me renewing this HORRRRRRIBLE service is very unlikely.

Hell no...  Aside from the fact that I would have bought the maps anyways, there were just so many flaws from the start.  I don't care if it was there first year implementing this.  It was a complete flop.  Communication started off alright, but gradually declined to the point of them not responding at all, most likely due to them moving on to "Elite 2.0".  I am sure it will be almost as bad as they havent even fixed all the problems in the first one.  Clan Operations were supposed to be released very early within the first month or two and that got pushed back at least three.  Clan challenges took almost half the elite subscription to just make.  Also clan challenges still appear with the word beta in the corner of them.  Oh and lets not forget they put 2 of the flipping map packs on sale for half price which is a big slap in the face to all who actually bought elite.

I am going to pay for elite again, the main reason is because you can get map packs very easily and you get early access.
