Stupid ways to die

How about the stupidest ways you've died?  These are all in the last week or so

 

Major brain fart.  Now that I need it I can't think of what's it's called when you change servers mid game.  I'll call it "fu"

 

1)  Teammate calls in a drop box, get 'fu'.  I'm running, but while in 'fu' state box drops on me.  I die.

 

2)  I'm calling in decoy boxes.  Drop one in Seatown.  Manage to run all the way around the map and find a guy with his back to me.  Kill him, then *my* decoy box goes off and I die.

 

3)  Today.  Walking around a corner.  I die before I get there.   Killcam shows I rounded the corner and got shot.  Good 1/2 second between what I saw and reality.

 

What are the stupidest ways you've died?

    I only play HC so I hate when I get hit once, blood screen red, manage to escape with my life, stay alive to kill 1-2 more people, then jump down a 5 foot wall to die.... ftw!!!!  

     

    Or, when someone lays down vests in a high traffic area...easy ways to get teammates killed. 

     

    Or, when cooking a frag but hold it for a little too long and it blows up the second after release....

     

    Or, friendly fire from claymore/c4 being shot by a teammate...

    Strafing on Overwatch trying to kill a guy, get the kill but only as you step off the edge and fall to your death.

     

    Spawn only to be killed instantly by a friendly care package.

     

    Or my personal favorite, see a betty on the ground.  Shoot it to avoid setting it off and then realize that you were too close because it killed you anyway.

    I am an Expert in throwing flash grenades at door frames.

     

    This results in me flashing myself and waiting for someone to get an easy kill.

     

    I am also  Pro at dropping care packages, stealthbombers on myself.

    Getting 1-shotted by a silenced SMG from long range thanks to the broken lag compensation.

     

    Getting killed by enemies that don't even show up on your screen yet.

     

    That's pretty stupid.

    A stupid way to die is to get moabed. Wait for the timer to count down a bit then toss your frag or semtex and lay on top of it. If there is still time remaining before the moab just watch the killcam. Funny I got dropped into a game and a moab was incoming within few seconds. Half the team I was put on left, i laid down on my frag so the guy only got 2 kills with the moab! That must suck.

    I don't usually die unnecessarily. I tend to be fairly smart and conservative with my lives treating them as if I would never respawn (that doesn't mean I camp hardcore, I just set my self up for the best possible outcome)

     

    That being said, when I do die stupidly it makes the feeling a shame even worse. Like Rid said, jumping to your death from 5ft in the air is probably the biggest one I do

     

    Second, throwing a flashbang and it manages to find the one obstruction around so I end up blinding myself and dying

     

    Third would be not shooting an enemy because a teammate across the map has caste a green name over the enemies head. <---This is my least favorite because it has nothing to do with poor decision making

    I don't know why but I never fire until I am sure that it is an enemy. Thats cool if you play hardcore, but I never do play hardcore. That gets me killed alot.

    one of the most frustrating ways that i die is when i switch over to a secondary weapon (more often than not a handgun), while the enemy isnt looking (trying to level up those handguns).  even with slight of hand pro, i am able to make a few shots before the enemy realizes that he is getting hit, turns around, then shoots me with his assault rifle / smg / shotgun.

    **** blowing up.  That gets my goat every dam time.  Some random barrel or vehcle blowing up just as I run by the thing.  Couldnt happen a second earlier it waits just until I am next to it.

     

    I am decent at bouncing frags off of beams so they whack me and I get the accidental "suicide" RPG death sometimes.   I am also good at the IMS suicide death.  I know its there so I haul ass around the corner and shoottheshit out of it until I die.  Can usually take them out in one death so I figure thats a suicide run to help my teammates out.

     

    And my all time favorite......find a camper with his back to you and suicide cook a grenade.  Sure I could shoot them but its so much more fun and a little more of a bitchslap if you do it this way.

    Fired off a Javelin, got killed, then as I spawn my Javelin hits me. I think that has happened to me a couple of times now, mainly on Mission.
