Yeah, try to make it permanent SnD 9v9 only, DON'T swap out new gamemodes every few days.

Perhaps replace Core Sabotage. That game mode seems to rarely break a couple thousand people on average. Not many would miss it, and I'm sure more would play 9v9 S&D anyway.

Guys guys hear me out okay.  What if they made a game mode where the acr and mp7 actually had some recoil, the pump shotguns didn't get point blank hitmarkers, there were no akimbo machine pistols, the pistols were actually worth something as secondaries, there was a reason to use the mg36 and pkp, they imported mw2 tdm netcode again, and there were no death streaks.

That would be a sweet game mode.  I'd play that.

Oh and the information in TU8 is incorrect the striker wasn't nerfed.  Only the emags glitch was removed.  None of its core stats changed.

So is 9v9 SnD out or currently planning on being put out?

If it comes out or is out, I'll be on that faster than an Obese person chomping on a new release from McDonalds

All I have to say that the connections suck big time. Every time enemy comes around corner he instantly kills me. Even when I'm looking allready and start shooting immediatly, I found myself dead. Why? Because I suffer for being the host. I guess I have to download something while playing or buy a **** connection.

    Warning, a rant will follow.

I though i'd do a bit of sniping this morning just for fun, but got frustated right away because again i seemed to be picking up host in nearly every game which meant framerate drops and horrible lag (nothing new here). You now the usual BS, hitmarkers, instant deaths, 1s behind every one and no OHK's or occasionally not even hitmarkers with a barret despite the fact you are right on target.

I know bandwith has very little or nothing to do with latency, but the host is chosen based on the available upstream bandwith, right ? Or atleast it's one of the factors. My connection is namely a 100/5 cable connection, which usually produces speedtests around 94-98mb down and 3,5-4,5mb up with 2-6ms pings. So it's not spectacular, but good anyway. My PS3 is wired and ports are opened etc, so MW3 is a lagfest 99,9% of the time because i'm not rocking a shitty connection with poor HW, nothing new here either.

I got so pissed off today that i decided to fiddle with my routers QoS settings, and limited my upload on my PS3 to 300kbps max. That did nothing, still got host all the time with the usual results. So i dialed it down even further to 100kbps max on the upstream, which enabled me to usually avoid host, but i still got it occasionally.

I can only wonder, that if indeed the host is chosen based on the upstream bandwith (or if it's one of the factors), what kind of connections people have novadays if i still pull host while i limit my upstream as low as mentioned above ? That's just amazing. BTW i did some speedtests on the PS3 and the upstream was actually limited according to my settings so don't say it didn't work. Apparently i should get a 2/1mbit connection and share it with my neighbour, and only play the game when he would be doing something online. Maybe then you wouldn't pick me as host and lag compensate me to a disadvantage.

Why don't you run speedtests on people's connections before you allow them to play ? Again i know more bandwith does not guarantee less latency, but these guys who i still pick host over while limiting my upstream to 100kbps must have such an inferior internet connection that you should not be allowed to play online with it under any circumstances.

Hosting or not, the lag is still ever present with my connection, but atleat if i do this i'm not skipping accross the map like you do while hosting. It's really nice to be matched up with people accross the globe with a poor connection. Even if the situation is reversed so that i am not the one with a 4 bar, but i am playing with a 3 bar againts people on 4 bar, they are still occasionally ahead of me thanks to the lag comp, WTF is up with that ?

Hopefully in the next TU you actually do something regarding matchmaking so that these 1-2 bar guys are not able to get in 50 or 75ms ping lobbies, you dial down the lag comp for the slower connections so people are no longer in god mode, and also do something about hosting so that the game would actually be playable when you get host.

I really hate the fact that i pay for a decent connection and have to dial it down intetionally, and still get screwed over by lag even if it is a bit better compared to hosting. I'd rather have the QoS disabled as usual, and be actually encouraged to have a good enough connection to get host like it was back in the day with the older titles.

Sun is shining and it's 10 degrees centigrade outside, so it's ideal to get out the house and go play some disc golf instead of frustrating myself even further with this game. Even if i hit a tree with every single opening throw and loose all my dics i would still have more fun than playing this game, it's that bad.
