How to make the AK-47 a good gun in MW3

IF YOU WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING GREAT, READ THE WHOLE DISCUSSION

Hey guys as you all know, the AK-47 is rarley used because of the insane amount of recoil that it gives when shot. Even with the kick profieciency the recoil is still very hard to deal with. I made a video on my successful YouTube channel where I compare the AK-47 to the most commonly used assault rifle, the ACR 6.8. I also give when of the best class setups to use with the AK-47. FIRST and foremost:

In Black Ops: Commando = AK47, except the Commando has better reload times

FAMAS > AUG > Galil > Com47

Secondly, ACR kills in 3 hits up to 34 meters, while the AK47 three hit kills up to 39 meters.

The range is completely negligible.

Comparison:
Rate of fire: 705 ACR versus 689 AK47
Recoil: LOW ACR versus HIGH AK47
Reload time: 1.9 ACR versus 2.5 AK47
Range: 34 ACR versus 39 AK47
Damage: 45-30 ACR versus 49-25 AK47

Notice that the ACR has MORE damage than the AK47, in addition to the ACR's damage mattering more:
AK47's 49 damage means you need two hits to kill with one headshot.
ACR's 45 damage means you need two hits to kill with one headshot.

On long range, ACR's 30 damage means that you need three hits to kill with ONE headshot
On long range, AK47's 25 damage means that you need THREE HEADSHOTS to kill on long range.

So the ACR has a higher EFFECTIVE DAMAGE than the AK47!
This also applies to hardcore, where the ACR one hit kills on all ranges.

I heard the CM901 and AK both share the same damage values, so if that's true, just make both of those guns have a 1.1 multiplier to the torso which would effectively make them high recoil powerhouses.

  Compare SCAR-H and ACR
  
  SCAR-H: 56 damage with stopping power
  ACR: 42 damage with stopping power
  
  ACR was still used more than the SCAR-H
  
  They should EITHER reduce the (maximum) damage of SCAR-L, ACR, M4, G36C, PP90M1, MP7 and P90 -- or increase the damage of M16, CM901, AK47, MP5 and UMP.

    Yes, the ACR was used more than the SCAR H, but that's because the SCAR was honestly balanced. It was a powerhouse but it only had 20 shots. It was my favorite AR and my go to weapon for nukes. Then they gave it 30 shots in MW3 so I never used it anymore. I just feel that what is the point of having 49 damage, one off from 50, if you won't use a multiplier?

      My guess is they had them at 55 and were told to not do it.

    The ACR is a completely different gun in both MW games.they shoot completely different rounds.kinda hard to compare them.the ak47 has changed in the MW series. It used to kick up and down mostly in the first 2 games.it almost has a unpredictable sway now when you fire it full auto.its still very controllable though

    AK 47 acts like it does in real life, sloppily. It makes sense. It was very good in Black Ops.
    There's no good reason to make the AK 47 the end all be all of assault rifles, in real life it is not as good a gun as the ACR or the SCAR or the others more commonly used.

Yes the Acr is better although for me when i use it to much i start getting bad scores... and when that happens the ak47 is a good option because it is one of the best AR in my opinion behind the Acr.

I only know 1 guy who uses the AK. It's a shame because it was very popular in Black Ops...

I'll watch your vid twice mate. Once for me, and once for the party pooper...

The only thing that I imagine will help the AK is the Thermal...

Bet I'm right...

Fire rate obviously matters, especially when you play head on a lot that plus too slow an ads means it's not a gun for me. It's a good gun on mid to long range with your setup.

If you know how to use it the AK-47 has the potential to be one of the best guns in the game. Burst-fire is key. I'm a little biased but I don't have any other gun with as many MOAB's as I do w/ the Ak-47

I love the AK-47! its the **** when it come to take people down... the recoils is a bit bad, but practice makes perfect... all you need to do is use it a bit more to get use to it.

  Agreed. Slap on silencer and extended mags = BOOM! Give it a try. The good stuff in life is always harder to get!

I use the AK and IMO its the best AR in the game tied with the G36C and just to point out that 49 damage for the AK makes it a 2 shot kill on ANYONE who is already injured even if its just from a spammed flash grenade all you need is a game or two to get used to how the gun works and its a power house.

It's not the best, but it's really fun using the AK with stalker. I feel like I move so much quicker while ADS

I think jaws four who made vid is right coz I've **** my ak47 many times it is strong and many recoil if u compare it 2 an acr in realife ak is stronger but the stats 4 the ak r just a little over the top with the recoil but the ak is stronger than the acr and when I use the ak47 on mw3 i find it a fast killing machine which means it kills quicker...

From my experience of using it in the game, extending the headshot multiplier to the chest making it a 2-shot close / 3-shot long to the chest as well as the head would fix it.

Making the entire torso a 2 shot kill using a torso multiplier would make it a bit OP - 55 base damage even more so (RPD with Stopping Power anyone?).

Kick / Silencer is by far the best way to use it though.
