This is ridiculous I have been looking around for a solution to this problem for ages now. Whenever I try to connect to MW3 online it connects to 'online services' , but then when it tries to 'fetch online profile' it takes forever and then up pops this message whih says 'Error Code: 3436' or 'Error Code: 3452'. This has been happening to me for 3 days now... WTF!?
I AM ALSO HAVING THIS INFURIATING PROBLEM .... AND HAVE BEEN FOR DAYS.
In am in Cairns / Australia ( In the city perimeter ) I have friends in Trinity Beach that are not having this problem, Neither are my other online friends from around Australia. I have tried 2 different playstations through multiple accounts and still no success.
However other games play online with no problems at all.... PSN is also no problem.

this whole thing is bullshit they better hurry up and fix this all my friends are playing and like other people have said, FFS its holidays and this is ruining my holidays. Good amount of time has been wasted, how do they plan on reimbursing all of the people affected's time? You can't give back time... FIX it now or GTFO
i hope they fix it soon as it has started happening to me and is really pissing me off specialy because it is holidays and i cant paly mw3 with my friends
After 4 days of posts regarding these connection issues, "support" still has yet to idenifty the problem, could the problem be "support" or lack of it....
There's only so long they can dodge responsibility until we want a refund for our useless elite profiles, dont let days turn into weeks and weeks turn into who cares.
My credit card elite payment tells me it's yr responsibility. FIX IT CRAPTIVISION
