Community Forum Guidelines & Etiquette

Posted by Foxhound-Pro on Jan 29, 2013 9:58 AM

Hello Community,

Our community guidelines and expectations are an overview of a few core concepts that are both common to all forums and exclusive to ours. We've created this document to serve as a tunable middle ground between you, the Code of Conduct, and the Terms of Use so that we can better address the community, as a whole, as we progress.

We can and will enforce this document as we do the Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use. However, it will not conflict with either of those two documents.

Please keep the below in mind as you post and understand that we have the right to remove anything at our sole discretion.

Posting Guidelines

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 forums are intended for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 discussion. Any topics not related to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Call of Duty ELITE or Treyarch are subject to deletion, without notice, unless otherwise noted.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 forums are written discussion forums. Multimedia has a particular set of guidelines which can not be listed here. For YouTube and Streaming, please see our YouTube & Streaming Guidelines for more information.

Threads should contain titles relevant to your discussion so that they are identifiable without entering the thread. To this effect, threads which single out particular developers are discouraged. Keep the discussion open and relevant to a topic.

Offensive content, as outlined in the Code of Conduct, is subject to removal at our discretion.

Participant Expectations

You are expected to stay on topic and use constructive dialogue to convey points.

You are expected to post responsibly when creating new threads. Duplicates of existing threads, authored by yourself or not, and gratuitous bumping is considered spam. Spam is subject to lock or deletion at our discretion.

You are expected to handle disagreements and general conduct in a civil manner. This means avoiding the use of offensive content, insults, harassment and general dudebro antics.

You are expected to not advertise content located off of our site. This includes, but is not limited to, petitions, products, services, tournaments and contests.

You are expected to respect the privacy and safety of your peers. Content which willingly violates documented National Laws, State Laws, Terms of Use or Terms of Service is discouraged.

You are expected to be a positive influence on our boards. Please report any and all infractions that you encounter when browsing the forum.

You are expected to understand that you are one of many. The rules apply to everyone.
