More ideas for Beachhead regarding ELITE (and ELITE 2.0, I suppose)

I've already given a top ten list for things Beachhead should address in my opinion. But now, it's been a few months, and I've got a few more I'd like to add to those...

1) Communication-- I think the most problematic/frustrating side of ELITE for most people imo is your communication with us. Your PR is terrible. I completely understand that you guys are overworked and understaffed. I truly get it. But what you may not realize is that people that message Beachhead or its reps/employees really just want a response. Not answering a question is ten times worse than giving the answer that the customer doesn't want to hear. There shouldn't be any waiting for weeks to get a simple response. For example, I have PMed Beachhead itself, threesnsevens and even Foxhound about a question I had here on the Forums. Along with that, I tweeted PMs to them with the same question. This was over a week ago, and I have heard nothing. There should be no reason for this. I appreciate that you guys need vacations, too. (And they're deserved. You guys put in long hours and it's tough dealing with us, the ELITE members.) But when you do have people on break, someone should be covering them. We should never go a week without response for ANY reason. I also understand that it's difficult to sell the bosses on needing positions filled... but come on... ELITE has brought in millions. Toss us a bone and hire three or four people who do nothing but PR/answer questions.

2) Make the clan leaderboards meaningful. These stats you show rankings for are a joke. K/D, score per minute and win %? How useful are these as a ranking system? About as useful as ranking level 50 clans by how many games they've played. Oh wait... you do that, too. Seriously? My clan was the 16th heavy clan to make it to 50, but we haven't played as many games as the other lvl 50s, so now we're 27th. How stupid is that? Why couldn't you at least freeze the lvl 50s as they come in? Or rank them by badges won in clan ops. I'd put our 69 straight golds up against anyone (granted, Wicked Elite and Lethal Gaming have been stellar, but still. They both have silver or bronze, too.) I'd like to be able to look at other clans' results and be able to compare them with my own clan's. Why is this something you feel necessary to hide? Everyone who knows anything knows that the clans who are winning these ops are not boosting by the rules. (Although it seems like it in spirit.) Who cares that Lethal Gaming got 8859 kills last Sunday and finished SECOND? Honestly, lots of people. I want to know who beat that score. I have searched 400+ of the high level heavy clans and the top 100 mid clans for the winner. No dice. So why can't we just SEE who won? Because the numbers are truly frightening that they are putting up. If you think that hiding the results is better than telling us the winner... you are 100% wrong. Every time. Do NOT hold a competition at all if you can't tell us who won. This is beyond ridiculous. This MUST be fixed.

3) Clan challenges--  Well, the beta has been nothing short of XP donation, imo. The larger clans are finishing the weekly challenges often in less than 24 hours. I know my clan is averaging between 20-40 hours to complete them. The tiers are too low. And before anyone might complain about smaller clans not being able to complete these... So what? Get more people who play. My top 5 in the score challenge have hit the 1M required with 2 1/2 days left. I don't want to hear that smaller clans can't get there. There need to be higher tiers for the bigger or better clans. Some of the challenges we've seen are good. Bomb plants, etc. But some have issues. Anything that might make people "allow" the enemy to do something in order to take it back should never be made a challenge or operation.

And my last point here...

4) Totally revamp clan operations. And I mean do a complete overhaul of the scoring, objective, everything. Take out the four we have in rotation and retire them to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, please. Start fresh with operations that require a full group of six clan members PTFO. Stop with the whole top 6 thing. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be taken out back and shot in the head. Twice. Well, there are ways that it might be salvageable, but let's just cut to the chase. Top 6 needs to go bye bye. I couldn't care less about smaller clans whining about not having enough people. And the reason for that is because I am constantly bombarded on every page I turn to on ELITE with recruitment spam. I have zero pity for small clans. You could count ONLY the group score for the best six-member clan squad as the clan's score. There, small clans... there's your even playing field. Whatever you do, Beachhead, just get rid of what we've gotten thus far and start over with different scoring and medalling. Pretty please.

Dude, ALL I read on your post was this...."I've already given a top ten list for things Beachhead so it gets better for my clan, I don't care for others, costumize it for me and my clan, do this and do that to help my clan, patch this for my clan, my clan plays like this and if you correct that we'll be first, make a new elite of only things my clan know how to do".  If you care that much for your ONLY clan buy yourself a programmer and call it DHBI Elite.

Then check back on your post and let ELITE to be balanced for big or smaller clans.  You must already know but theres 600 Heavyweight clans, 9,000 Middleweight clans and 70,000 Lightweight clans.  Now.......based on these results, should they put challenges to improve clans of 10 or 50 members.  You do the math.  By the way, the correct answer is....'both'.

    1. Communication is always going to be a shortcoming.  Millions of people playing a game and a limited number of people to answer the questions.  It certainly could be better than it is but it's never going to be even close to perfect.

    2.  I like the idea of having a leaderboard that shows every clans score.  It'll help give those clans that are near the edge of getting to the next tier an idea of what they have to achieve to get there.  It probably will also have the unintended consequence of encouraging boosting in the lower tiers.  Pluses and minuses to everything I suppose.

    3.  Clan Challenges.  Yes they are easy but since it took 9 months to release a feature that was supposed to be ready on day 1, they need to be easy.  People paid for a year long subscription that only has 3 months left on it for them to achieve their goals.  They have a responsibility to correct the issue and they are doing just that.  As far as the objective goes, they have to tie it to something.  Maybe you don't like what they have chosen so far but I like the variety.

    4. Clan Ops.  I have to disagree with you on requiring 6 man parties and only counting the party.  My clan has members all across the globe and some members are able to participate in the beginning of the op but can't finish it due to the start times and then others come in towards the end of the op.  Exactly which version of the 6 man party would get counted?  It sounds like a programming nightmare.  The requiring a full party would mean that if you have less than 6 people online then you can't do the op until you get 6 people online.  Again with people joining and leaving or in some cases getting kicked offline due to server issues this too would be a total nightmare to program.  Where I will agree with you, is it would be nice to see some more variety in the Ops.  I like the current ones just fine but I would like to see some different gamemodes.

The clan challenges frankly are way too easy. When they came around I had the most pistol kills and most knife kills clan challenges done by myself in less then an hour and could have done the most assists weekly clan challenge done by myself in a solid day if I would have had the time. May not seem like all that big of a deal but I suck at this game so yeah the challenges are way too easy. About the only thing they got right with the clan challenges is that non premium members have them as an outlet to actually be able to help their clan.

At no time was silent trying to throw things out that would only benefit our clan and those of you that took it as such fail to see the bigger picture for what's in everyones best interest. Bigger clans have the numbers and longevity to require a little more in terms of challenges and support because we care about things like clan leaderboards to be able to find out what kind of improvements need made to better stack up against the higher scoring clans. Where as with the smaller clans only seem to care about ranking up quickly to get the emblems and titles. I can't count how many times a day I get messages from people asking if they can join our clan to get the titles and emblems "then you can kick me".
