It's definitely tainted by rapid fire controller users. These days, it seems that people just want to show off that they bought an overpriced controller for cheating. Pistols? Too quiet. The MK14? Too quiet. Why not use a weapon that can be heard across the map so the whole lobby instantly knows I'm cheating?

Anyway, it's just a weird gun. Not really much point in using it over, say, the MK14 because of the smallness of the maps. I've really only seen it used for cheating and spray and pray sniping.

I use it with the acog and kick. Makes for some good all around fun.

Its a good rifle but some people can really embarrass themselves with it. I came against a RSASS user today that was just spraying at me from across the map. I shot 1 bullet at him each time and down he went. He wasn't even using Assassin, I don't think he ever killed me.

I like to stick a ACOG on it and use it like the MK14. And I stick a silencer on it as well, because it doesn't affect the amount of shots it takes to kill.

Also, I'm glad someone pointed out how noisy it is... Part of the reason I use it with a silencer, is to not annoy the other people on the server. Whenever I'm in a server and hear someone firing multiple shots from it, it's such a nuisance; why is it so obnoxiously loud? It drives me crazy! Especially when someone is just sitting there, firing 20 rounds off in a row...

The sniper that thinks it is an AR. In the right hands it is devastatingly effective at any range and that is why people hate it so much. Combined with the right perks and attachments you have a weapon that can effectively take on any weapon at any range if the user plays to the guns strengths. Better than the Barrett since has less recoil for easy quick follow up shots. No need of a rapid fire controller to even spam it, anyone can with fast enough reflexes.

Silenced and Extendmaged it is a nightmare to behold if the person can control their aim and burst fires in double or tripple shot bursts depending on where they are aiming. Remove the silencer and through on an acog and your ready for close to medium range engagments. Slap an infrared and not even assain allows a person to hide since they show up dark against the background, only in the shadows can they hide. Use the variable zoom and its good for medium long and really long ranges and kills quick and easily if on target.

A good sniper if you can use it correctly and not think or try to use it as a more traditional sniper like the bolt action snipers, unless at long ranges.
