Community's always been pretty garbage. Just diff groups of people. The 15 year olds who all sound the same, the hispanic **** who use nooby guns, the 30 year old rednecks, the squeakers, the hackars, the copy and pasters, and the commentators. That's it, everyone's always been fighting with each other, just a bad community all together, the only thing we have in common is that we ***** about patches, and we have horrible graphics.

Summer of BO showed the downfall of the comminity by a lot. By August the GB community was completly sniffed out.
September the community had gotten smaller from the past months from people getting other consoles. The community was pretty bad at this point. No where near what it was by the beggining of black ops.
December of MW3 showed a rise in noobs. aka Jingle Noobs
February Showed had a increase in hackers because of the l33t predator missle.
May put the final blow by the account hopper code.

The Reflex days were the best when it came to communication, doing great, friendly users and stratagies, ect. People on skype were awesome and the community was pretty mature. And the hacking wasn't as bad at all. There was like no hackers for the longest time. The only hacks they could have is host only, and usually it's just infinite UAV or no recoil.

I remember back in Reflex, people use to put their phone numbers as their IGNs
. I never did it, because....well rapists. My friend did though, and I met many allies like that. Also, back in Reflex, one of my irl friends actually played CoD on wii...he doesn't anymore....no one does anymore
. I also was able to go underground and into the minds of hackers. Of course, reflex hackers were different than the kiddies now. Back then, they were actually NOT squeakers
. But they did seem a bit hyper, which led me to believe that they inhaled a certain powder.....- Report Abuse

Oh the memories!! Like trapping Padiego in a corner on array for 3mins

Reflex days were definitely the best. Hacking in the game didn't really pick up until BO was about to come out. And even then you hardly ever got UAV hackers or anything. Just mostly annoying guys who kept going invisible. Good thing is you could tell that they were doing it because for some reason they had to kill themselves with a grenade once they spawned in. You hardly even got into a lobby with those guys too. Plus, the community was great. I honestly think the community was so great because we were without an in-game mic option. Less **** talking and pissing people off. People could skype of course though. But even when I skyped with my clan we were always laughing to hard and could barely focus on the game, lol. Those days were dandy.

1) Padiego you need a friend (a GF may be even better), chill out man

2)From my experience in FPS communities since Quake times (gosh Im old) I can definitely tell that:
Communities always die, most of the time slowly, but they die (well, with the exception of those freaks of "Counter Strike", man how I hate that game, and can't belive it's still alive).
In the case of MW3 Wii I can see some big issues that act against MW3 community:
a) Everyone knew (developers and users) that these were the last days of the Wii, nintendo had its mind into make the 3DS and the Wii U, their network sucks, and also it looks like the Wii is very easy to hack.
b) With the HDTVs getting more and more common, a fraction of the Wii users would inevitably move to the next Gen consoles, and that increases the chances for people leaving the Wii community.
c) 3arc and Activision HATE THE WII, whenever someone a (very small) group of employers were assigned to develop a COD game in the Wii, they felt that they were force to attend the funeral of a guy everyone hated. You could tell this for the little testing they had on their games, the crappy lag compensation software, and as the Wii was coming to an end, they did not want to update and patch their games at all.
d) As graphics were very crappy, most of users played COD games, I would guess, cause of the "fun" factor, the community would stick to the games that made them have more fun. This means that the more iterations in the franchise, the pool of hardcore community members has to spread over more games, reducing the community size per game.
Personally I had a great experience with the BLOPS community, however I can only play a game at a time, and so I'm lazy to move back from MW3 to BLOPS. Another reason is that I think MW3 is better suited for old school snipers, there are more maps in which you can snipe from afar, and since there is lil or no aim assist you barely see quickscopping (except the lil kids that use the barret as a machine gun). Also MW3 in my experience has very lil lag, I know some like Nintendont had tons of lag, but they are the community "1%", the wealthy high speed internet users that should suffer a lil bit making the mediocre internet connection users, like me, feeling that there is some fairness in the world. Also I'm the type of the guy who likes to alternate between guns, and still be competitive. In this respect I feel that MW3 is way more balanced that BLOPS, a game dominated by the FAMAS and the AUG. And therefore, all of these makes me being more present in MW3 community as any other.

1) Life is XP waste. Wait......I don't play MW3 anymore......must open door......what is this sorcery?!?!?! The light! THE LIGHT IS KILLING ME!!!!!!! If you ever played with me, you would see that rarely do I rage at the game. Specially black ops. But in MW3, it pushed me to my limits, yet I never let out the scream of rage like Grom has done oh so many times. Im actually a calm person, but I just act like I rage hard for the laughs. I love making people laugh, even though most of my humor is dark.....
2)Cookies. Its not that they hate the wii, otherwise we wouldn't even have these games on the wii. Its nintendo limiting what the developers can do with the console. As we know, Treyarch wanted to release map packs for the wii, it was ready to do so and continues constant patching to keep us happy so we will buy map packs ,but something stopped them, most likely Nintendo's Wii Shop policies, among others.

That would make sense except the fact that there were no connection advantage or disadvantages in Black Ops, Reflex or World at War. Why should I be punished for having a better connection? How is that fair? And I'm far from wealthy, I just happened to get a good deal.

Well I did have more frequent laggy matches in BLOPS than MW3

Besides, yes I agree, in theory is not fair to be punished. The problem is that you have to see these problems throughout a coorporation eyes.
These guys know that lag compensation is far from perfect, knowing that, who they would aim to please more, the "1%" or the (average) majority?
If the would choose to please the 1%, too many people would complain and they would either lose many costumers (the game cost the same to anyone regardless of how much they earn or how fast is their connection) or have to spend more time and money than what they would earn/lose with the 1% being disappointed. Of course they keep this in secret and don't tell anyone. In a world with so many different internet speeds, the guys with the fastest/slowest connections will always lose.
If the world becomes too polarized in terms of speed and they can not figure out the right software I guess what they can choose to do is adding dedicated servers for the people with the minimum fast connection (the server can easily kick out players by connection speed), and at the same time rise the fair (flat or monthly subscription) for those "special ones".
Have you tried MW3 in other consoles? how does it perform?

I find it funny. With minecraft, I complain about too many damn updates and patches, because then i have to update like 50+ mods. But with MW3, the community complains about no patching

I have to agree with you padiego. The BitchWarfare 3 community is nothing but trash. This isn't like black ops at all and it's BS. I had so much fun playing black ops Wii I mean damn I used to be on all night doing some SnD or some Demo with my former clan GM. I was with that clan since the first COD hit Wii all the way up to Mw3 where we broke apart over how SHITTY Bitchwarfare 3 is. I dislike this game and community with a passion.
I honestly don't know how you guys can manage to play this game still and please before any of you dumbasses (not all of you but some) say "well why are you here" well for starters DUH Black ops 2 is almost here (pre-ordered my copy) and I'm more of a Treyarch COD guy (meaning I loved WaW, Bo, and now Bo2)

I quit Mw3 back in late december last year or early january can't really recall. I too have been playing black ops been getting my game in preparation for black ops. Completed campaign on the hardest difficulty and beat my zombies round of 36 > 48.
Also we've exchanged words before padiego a lot actually (not in a bad way)
I was the guy who is ALWAYS against anything noob in the community and who voices out all the time (which everyone does that isn't much help) oh and I am also that guy who beefed with those elite clowns and shitblock.
Anyway that's old news what isn't old new is that someone is still running around on mw3 wii with my IGN and that's mainly the reasonb why I came back to find out who. What better way to start than the COD forum.

To the guy who said the BO community fell in august that was not technically (hope i spell that right) true. Yes everyone was bummed about not getting a patch but my tournament which i always show off xD did bring some fun to the community.
Ugh i remember being in my clan since WaW and then BAM! At mid of mw3 my clan G5* collapsed and lost contact of everyone :'( now all i see in these forums are new people which i detest. I miss playing online and being with the r@pe squad. Or playing hidden masters haha and remembering how i used to love the forums. Oh well

Learn your forum canon n00b.
Hybrid X1 was one of the higher ups of the ole Black Ops Wii forum police squad. Under Keyser Soze's watchful eye, him and the rest of the officers kept us safe from the tyranny of DLC threads and any post that didn't 100% fall in line with the COC. He kept the world safe so our children could sleep at night knowing the forums weren't getting wrecked. He's a damned hero in my books!
