007 Remakes

With 007 Legends being announced recently, an interesting thought came to my head.
I was thinking that since Activision and Eurocom make the bond games together, wouldn't it be fun if they took the World is Not Enough and Nightfire and made ports with enhanced graphics and framerate on XBLA, PSN, and WiiWare? If they did it, how would you want it made?
I wouldn't be surprised with Activision if they did this. Remakes can be great games and low-budget.
(Pssssst. Activision can compete with Perfect Dark on XBLA if they do this!)
I think this is a fantastic idea, But it is unlikely that it would happen. They have already remade Goldeneye they will just want to focus on getting 007 Legends finished at the moment. And yes you are correct, it would be very low budget all they would have to do it update the graphics and ta da! The game is finished. Personally I would like a remake of Nightfire and Everything or nothing. Those are still fantastic games to play and I think they have everything we would expect from a Bond game. For example they both have excellent opening credit sequences that I always love to hear as they do it with the films as well. (The classic ones, not QOS or CR)
Anyway it is a fantastic idea that should be considered by activision as I would definitely get them from the xbla if they did remake them!!
Thanks for the feedback!
While having an Everything or Nothing remake would be great, there are too many licensing issues at the moment. The developers of that game, which have the rights to the game itself, are still completely owned by EA, unlike Eurocom. Until Activision is able to work with these developers, or EA gets the Bond license, it sadly cannot happen.
The way the Perfect Dark remake worked is that Rare still owns the game, so they improve it, and Microsoft publishes it. If Nintendo had the rights to the game, they wouldn't have allowed the remake without having some level of return.
Eurocom, on the other hand, has the rights to the games TWINE and Nightfire, and Activision has the Bond license, so this is possible.
Oh well.
Yes we will have to wait till they get all of these legal issues out of the way and then they can consider what EA games to remake. They will soon run out of ideas and story lines for Bond games and remaking the old games with fresh, different plots such as Everything or Nothing or Nightfire is fantastic!
I think some of these Bond games such as Blood stone should even be made into a movie as they have been done very well.
My top 3 games that should be remade for next generation consoles:
1: Everthing or Nothing
2:Nightfire
3:Tomorrow Never Dies/The world is not enough.
Remaking old games is so cheap you are right, but there as so much complications with licence's etc that are causing it to not happen.
This idea should not be forgotten and I would be every happy to play these classic Bond games on nect gen consoles.
