No. CoD is NOT supposed to be realistic. Why does everyone ***** about realism? It's an arcade shooter.
Tactics like bunny hopping and drop shotting ADD to the gun play. Why should they be nerfed? Are they too hard for you? They are ways to evade. Do you want strafing to be removed too? I guess you just shouldn't be allowed to move while you're shooting someone.

Or those who can't aim:
I follow the same policy of "do unto other" but: I can aim; and have no problem shooting some on the TOP of their head, as in the face.
I don't get what you're trying to tell me.

you shouldn't be able to hit any one easier while they're standing then when they're lying prone.
What? That isn't what I'm saying. I've had several of my bullets completely miss the target when he dropshoots. i.e. bullets going through him, not over his head.

I still play COD as I always have (relying on my iron sights) If I where going to complain about something; I would be complaining about the ridiculous hit boxes, and some one being able to hip fire across the map.
or "quick scope" where you can see plainly that the bullet never was near then; or hit them in the toe.
I can't say I've had a problem with the hitboxes, as where I shoot is where the bullets go. As for the hipfiring thing, I'd say that's a realism issue, to which the exact same could be said of dropshooting and quickscoping.
This is just my 2 pence on the matter. I think it's cheap and I don't like it. Same goes for quickscoping, noobtubing and final stand.
My thing is why everyone who is defending the exploit saying "CoD isn't supposed to be realistic" as an excuse? We aren't asking for realism. We are asking for some sort of logic. Yes, the hitboxes are messed up. Something is wrong somewhere when I am aiming at a person in the chest/throat area and they hop, but I'm still aiming at their body shooting and I'm the one who dies although I got first shots. Something is wrong there.
It's so simple to tell people to learn to aim as if they don't know how. If logic was used, the person who has that advantage on another person would kill them without having to resort to an exploit that makes the rest of the shooting irrelevant. Even the devs tried to get that exploit out of here. I've seen another mod for CoDWaW known as x5 and CoD4 players may know as x4. That mod does it very well and I don't know how he did it, but it's pretty good. I don't even know why people are faking as if they don't know it's an exploit and then insulting others in the process who just want a bit more logic with their game.
If we wanted to make the realism argument, let's use waterguns in multiplayer because water squirts kill soldiers. Ok, and knifes have priority over guns....hmmm. No one's asking for realism. We are asking for a fix to a problem that's been going on for years. Wow people.
It's not a problem. It's a way to evade. If you seriously can't kill people that dropshot/jump, than I feel sorry for you. Get better I guess?
The truth is: This "exploit" you keep talking about doesn't exist; any more then the "bunnyhopping" (has been gone since cod 1.3)
And I know this has been said may times, many ways; but the truth is the truth.....
Learn to use a mouse and keyboard; if you wish to continue playing PC games. It's as simple as that.
I know you like the controller: And more power to you if that's the way you want to roll, but:
me thinks this is the real issue with why you are unable to make the adjustment (on the fly) up or down to compensate for hoppers, and proners.
no one who uses a M/K seem to see this as an issue. (I've even seen it suggested that using a mouse over a controller is unfair; how ludicrous is that?)
If I couldn't shoot proners, and hopper (which I do, all day long) with my mouse; I might see your point.
but the truth is THERE IS NO EXPLOIT! they do not "disappear" when they jump, or go prone; they are NOT some where off the map, or in any way immune.
Yeah sure I catch my self mumbling under my breath (stand still you little ****) but I know full well I wouldn't stand still for them.
there are already to many restrictions in this game; (you can jump on, or climb this but not that)
I do not want this game any more consolized; in fact I want then to back off of the restriction. if I can jump on, or climb this car or dumpster, why shouldn't I be able to jump on, or climb that one. (where's the "logic" in that?)
and what is the point of putting tall structure on a map, if they can't be accessed (what in the hell are sniper rifles for? if not to defend from a vantage point?
There are a few thing wrong with the game; mostly map design; to many barriers (which makes these maps very small)
To put this much time and effort in to complaining about these NON-ISSUES; there is NO BUNNY HOPPING, and going prone is just a movement; it is NOT AN EXPLOIT!
To both you and MahGunsGoPEWPEW, which has no idea what he's talking about, all I can see is defense of the obvious. It's the same reason they are still letting you knife through gunfire. No one can tell me to "get better". I have been playing FPS for years and I play very good (that's not a brag either) so no one can tell me the same excuse for some getover way of using a flaw. That won't apply here.
Everything that Poison Pawn wrote there has nothing to do with the actual flaw. It's just more filler excuse that has nothing to do with climbing or the gameplay use of jumping. No one is even talking about that, but this is what is constantly used for filler because it only serves the purpose of trying to get people to believe the flaw and basic jumping and climbing are somehow related to each other when it's not. Then to try to use the controller excuse is so lame. You can tell that you are reaching for nothing there. Plenty of M+KB users talk about this all the time unless you have been in a box somewhere.
If I'm the one with the advantage and I have the first aim and shots on you, even if you hop and I'm still shooting the image that is your character, that character should die because I'm still firing and I'm the one with the advantage. I caught you. Understand how that works? I know you do. That's logic.
We all talk about flaws - obvious flaws - that really can't be defended by talking about climbing a wall. That's not even the convo here. Come with some real meat in your convo instead of filler please. Anyone can see through all of that.
No, who said anything about realistic? This isn't a simulator. And who says bunny hopping? lol
It would only make things more complicated and annoying if it were changed up. Besides, there tactics. I don't get why people get mad when the enemy isn't tanding straight up in one position so they can eat their bullets- it's not the point, it's a competition, we're not dummy dolls that are required to get killed by people that don't want to aim.

Thank god you cry babies aren't the developers.
Ha! Well at least I'm not crying for one, and for two, the devs also tried to prevent it. So hmmm...
No, unless you want everybody to camp / headglitch 24/7. Dropshotting, strafing and jumping are good gun tactics that should be used head on and they keep the game interesting.
These things make cod, cod and should remain in the game. No doubt.
