Wii PDP Headbanger Headset Question?

i recently got a brand new headset, but its not working. ppl can hear me, but i cant hear them. should i..

1. Turn off the Wii

2. insert the headset

3. Turn back on

4.Play?

I know the diff between muted and unmuted, and i turned it up to the max. Has anyone had this problem? If so, whats the fix?

Same thing happened with mine. I'm not even sure if people can hear me or not but I can't hear anyone. It's not muted, mics are on, yes it is plugged in, and volume all the way up and nothing still. My guess is its broken. I'm gonna have to buy a new one but at this point i don't think its a wise investment. If you do find some sort of fix for it let us know!

they suck,, Mine broke the 2nd week i got it.. But computer headsets last long so i use that now

Well thats sucks just like silentshot told me those headsets are a joke there for a 10 year old kid with a 10 inch tv but, did you try the other usb port

I'm on my 5th mic, they're not the sturdiest mics out there.

Where did you get oyur headset? I looked at walmarts, EB Games (Canada's equivelant of Game Stop), and other stores, but can't find one.

  yeah these things are garbage. cheap parts to crappy design. I've had 3, won't buy a 4th. First 2 broke for no reason at all, 3rd the puppy chewed up so that one was my fault.
  
  Go buy a new one and put your old one in the box. repackage and return the broken one to store, keep new one. (works at wal mart, can't vouch for other stores)

    I've had my since the release of Black Ops. To this day I still have it. Works fine.

      Same here! I don't know if the rest of these guys just don't take good care of their equipment or if we're just lucky. But I haven't had a single problem with my headset in nearly two years and two moves (to school and back home for summer). Here's to hoping it survives the third move lol
