nothing is wrong with camping in real life soilders are always camping and killing the enemy camping is the best strategy until they figure out where you are then you just have a nice casual tactical retreat

the reason i hate campers is that they abuse a spot to much and like to troll players so that they rage quit on porpuse just for fun

Camping is not fun but you are right it is easy. Similar strategies do have a place in games like CoD but all of them require some level of skill. Look at it this way, if everyone camped there would be no game would there, where is the fun in that. Also sitting in the dark with a shot gun gives no one an advantage. There should be 4 main types of players to make a game fun: Guards - similar to camping but with the sole purpose of guarding a trophy (CTF, Bases).. Commandos - big guns, big balls and big head count, running straight into the fire and coming out the other end with more kills than deaths... Snipers - Skilled at long distance shooting highly accurate over long ranges yet suffer in close combat (my kind, this last bit is where the name comes from)... Recon - Stealthy and manouverable but not effective in a skirmish. Camping tries to utilise the benefits of all these with the skills of none. If you cannot play with skill don't drag other peoples game down too.

I agree with a lot that is said here.  Camping is indeed a legitimate wartime strategy, no argument about it. However, what you need to consider is that despite how awesome the graphics look/are, this is not real war. To many, myself included, this game franchise is more of a competition/fun way to kill some downtime. By camping a single spot for the duration of a game, you remove the sportsmanship aspect from the competition and all the "honor" and "merit" that comes from a well played match is cheapened somewhat (honor and merit are in quotes because many people have different definitions of those words, for all intents and purposes, let us assume they are the general, positive, definitions).  Not to mention, by executing such behavior, you are simply adding ammunition to those detractors who view anything to deal with Call of Duty as simply an anarchistic mob of hate spewing trolls and obnoxious "campers".

These are just my two cents, take what you will from them.
