Something's not right, I am tired of insta deaths and hitmarkers out the ying yang. It sucks

so bad I think I'll set down and play some more like every other idiot that bought this game.

My info: Virgin Media UK. 100meg down/10up.  0% Packet loss.  Ping tested to UK servers on Pingtest showed 8ms-34ms anywhere in UK - generally around 12.  Location - within 50miles of Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster etc. 

For whatever reason the lobbies I am placed in seem to be populated regulalry by French, German, Austrian, Spanish, Italiens and even Americans which causes problems. I was astounded a few weeks ago to notice that I'd been playing against a couple of guys from India, two from NZ and one from Australia. 

Surely the matchmaking has a bearing on the lag which is so prevalant in this game.

The game is generally unplayable due to this "lag" and the problem is completely exacerbated when selected to host the game, which happens more often than not.

I've played COD since COD4 - I know when I've been outplayed and I know when I've been robbed.  I also recall MW2, for my friends and I, had very good localised matchmaking and connections, and at that time I was on a 10/1meg connection.  One would presume that when upgrading your internet your gaming experience online would also improve.  In reality, this isn't the case.  All of my friends with similar connections to me have either stopped playing all together or have gone back to MW2, some have gone to Black Ops.  The guys I play with who have the worst connections out of anyone I know, e.g. one lad has 1meg down, 0.4meg up, they all love this game and can't understand why people are so angry.

Its a confusing strategy to say the least.

Foxhound will be locking this thread soon as was just done to a similar one on the PS3 board. Apparently, IW has "fixed" the connectivity problems in this game and is trying to hide evidence otherwise. Trueth is that IW has, after 9 months of trial and error, reverted setting to MW2 standards as many in this community lobbied for ages ago. Perhaps this fix is working for some players and that's great. There are still consumers with problems related to errant lag compensation settings and a failed matchmaking system.

If IW is so concerned with selling DLC they should listen to their customers in the first place. Oh and having a product people want to purchase might help too.

Signing for the 4th time, out of ammo by the second kill while everyone else is getting 1 bullet kills from across the map with a shotgun. Just ridiculous.
