I wonder why they aren't concerned with all the negative feedback. I also wonder why they don't try and fix it? Is it because they don't care now that they have got most people to buy the elite package.
I agree with wridtrvlr - local matchmaking would be awesome. It seems Activision have been trying to make this happen but it seems their idea of local matchmaking is anything within a radius of 3000 miles.
With all the money Activision has made you'd think they would want to invest (ie their own servers) to provide a 'bluechip' service. Instead we get a poor connection and no answers.

I truly, whole heartedly, believe they don't know HOW to fix it...

They should have just left the matchmaking the same as MW2 and binned the idea of lag comp, thats what has turned the online play into a clusterfcuk

You would think they'd want to try to keep their customers happy.

What's with the "removing lag compensation"??? If they do that the game will be totally unplayable. LC is a necessity in any FPS online game. The problem is how it has been set up. BO2 will have LC, we just have to hope it works better than in MW3. Judging by BO though, I'm not holding my breath.
It's no compensation, but I was speaking to friend today who plays on XBox and he said it was just as bad on there as on the PS3.

The matchmaking and lag comp worked most of the time in mw2, it rarely lagged badly, you got the odd lobby that was a bit jumpy but not like it is now which is just lag upon lag.
Its now gone beyond the stage of being a bad joke

I don't disagree with that, but you can't remove LC. You have to remember the team who put MW2 together is different to those working on the games now. Sadly for us, the current team don't seem as good.

I think this is why camping has become so prevalent in this game. I'm more of patrol type player but I am running into more and more people just 'chilling' in key locations while ADS.

That's very true. All games must have some sort of LAG comp. IMO, they may have coded it into the system wrong and it seems that it's not flexible enough to alter easily. That would make the most sense if they are actually trying to fix it. Only guessing though....

MW2 had the best online gameplay, it started to go downhill with blops i think thats where they changed the degree of lag comp, probably in an effort to help those with crap internet service, but the people who invest in a better service get the shaft and this has come to an all time low with mw3, it seems the better your isp the worse your game runs and if you pull host you are totally screwed.. I would like the current developers to explain how this is in any way fair to the consumer
