They won't be giving out free Golds. What they'll probably do is cancel the Op that is taking place. At least, that's what I hope will happen.
Haven't been able to connect to a game for the past hour, and the same goes for all of the people I was playing with.
Xbox Live servers going down today is just an unlucky coincidence. They can't time that kind of stuff, and of course they're doing what they can to get things working again. Its not as though they want this to happen, its bad for business. With the incredible amount of customers that they have, it's not suprising that they will have online issues every once in a while. All we can do is sit back and wait for them to fix the issues. It stinks, but that's life.
