    yes but bouncing bettys are easy to avoid, as soon as you hear that click, smash down on the crouch button and go prone as fast as you can and you will survive without a scratch or with minor damage

    Hey guys, just want to get my views across to IW and Activision really an they have no contact details which is what I would say are unfunctional companies. I am a search and destroy only player and due to your most recent ridiculous update I now only get to play "camp and annoy" I am sure that I am not the only person that believes sitrep pro for an average gamer has now become a god mode perk it is a complete and utter pointless update as the following points are the reasons why search and destroy has now been ruined:

     

    1: Sitrep makes dead silence completely useless so why keep DS in this worthless game.

    2: Not only does it increase the volume of footsteps but enhances the majorly whilst using dead silence.

    3: I now have to crouch around to play search and destroy which as you have guest really gets the energy pumping. Sorry I tell a lie I don't play S&D on this unfair game anymore.

    4:Everytime I now see a sitrep player I report them for boosting as I recently found out that you can earn it by destroying your own TEAMS equipment well done IW so on this note I urge everyone who actually enjoys a game of S&D without any ridiculous additions to the game then report all players using sitrep pro as cheating nothing will happen to them but maybe IW and Activision will finally start to realise they are ruining the game, I myself would like to know why they changed it in the first place I think it was to

    Annoy me. IW and Activision or admins If you see this I would appreciate a response

    You should never be able to "ensure" anything in this game. You cant ensure you wont be hit by an AC-130 or Pred just because you have Blind Eye on. Also dont forget that things like crouching and moving slowly will reduce your footstep noise.

    Jesus Christ people don't half talk some bullshit here.

     

    A few facts...

     

    Sitrep Pro doubles the sound of enemy footsteps, it doesn't multiply it x4, (that was in MW2)

     

    Before the patch Dead Silence was over powered as it had NO counter.

     

    Now, Sitrep Pro counters Dead silence as it should be - because Dead Silence still Counters Sitrep Pro!

     

    SP = own footsteps x0.5,  friendly footsteps x0.5, enemy footsteps x2 , DS users x1

     

    DS = own footsteps muted, friendly footsteps x1, enemy footsteps x1, SP users x1

     

    This means when you use dead silence you can hear Sitrep Pro users EXACTLY the same volume as they can hear you, but with the advantage of not being able to hear your own footsteps. This advantage is countered by the fact that Sitrep pro users hear friendlies a little quieter than DS users.

     

    This my friends is the very definition of "balanced", so stop pissing and moaning just because someone kills you and stop tring to blame something which both on paper and in practice now functions correctly.

    Its easy to say that you can hear them and they can hear you, and i agree with that logic. Its the fact that they DONT MOVE. This is why the game encourages camping now, bc SRP users camp, and now DS users are having to camp because of the fact that if they do try to move towards an objective, SRP users know exactly where they are at. All this is for SnD for me though, the only gametype i can play on this game.

    Sitrep pro needs to be updated because it defeats the purpose of having dead silence in the game. This perk ruins many game type like S&D because the people with this perk camp and crouch walk all over the map and us people that did not fill like boosting for sitrep pro dont have it and we dont wont it becasue it has ruined the fun and sprit of the game that a lot of us love playing. Why do we even have dead silence if one perk can take that perk away from your use. I would understan if sitrep pro could hear dead silence none pro but dead silence pro should not be able to be heared by sitrep pro. Sitrep pro has just about made it were i dont think i and a lot of other people will even buy the next mondern warfare because of this and im thinking about quiting mw3 like a lot of my friends and other peaple and playing a nother game that does not have a perk like this but i would love to see this fixed so i could enjoy playing mw3 again and the next mondern warfare game to come out. Please fix this over power perk. and any one who agrees with this please support me on this were we can get this fixed

    Well, it boils down to this. Would you rather sound like an elephant stampede or a normal person with normal footstep sound against SitRep Pro users?
    I'm not one to boost for SitRep Pro (I've already failed to get it in my ninth Prestige, even though I actually tried to legitimately unlock it), and I just find Stalker and Steady Aim as better lifesavers than SitRep Pro. Honestly, it hasn't done much to my ability to soundwhore, and while any effect isn't negative, I honestly found it negligible. Granted, I don't camp often and I don't play Search and Destroy, but I found that SitRep Pro kinda needed the application of louder footsteps to Dead Silence. Although it could have been dealt with better, I'll agree with that.

    This.  And the fact crawling/crouching negates the effects of SRP.

     

    But it comes down to why people are now acknowledging Sit Rep Pro when it's been like this for a while (since they patched it) and even in Modern Warfare 2.  SRP in that game was the pinnacle of power - purely because you could hear people literally across the map - but did no-one use it then? No, because getting the Pro was a tedious challenge and the power of Ninja, Commando and even Steady Aim were all in the Tier 3 slot. Did people complain about it then? No.

     

    But now, after the Devs admitting SRP was supposed to counter DS all along (what they did wasn't a buff, it was a mere bug fix/feature change) - why have all of a sudden people became so outraged over something which has performed pretty much the same since it made its debut in MW2 - it was quietly nerfed in MW3 compared to MW2; the sound amplification isn't the same to it's predecessor.  A perk, in my honest opinion, should NEVER make you completely silent - Dead Silence still does that to non-SRP using guys - but having the ability to hear-out those using DS has been made in the form of SRP. I would rather have a perk to make silent-Perks audible than have no counters to someone running around making no noise.

     

    Perhaps the general community being stupidified by the COD YouTubers throwing their toys out of the pram because something so simple like SRP/DS is such a major problem for them? In what way on God's gracious green earth is it a significant problem to merit a KONY 2012-style campaign that some YouTubers seem to be managing? Why are there no Blind Eye/Assassin, MP7/ACR and Lag Comp/Connectivity campaigns - or have I not seen them? If one YT guy has an issue with something insignificant, why is it then suddenly hundreds/thousands have the same issue without experiencing it for themselves? Blind leading the blinder .. sheep?

     

    Those that complain about something like this, do they even use the Perk themselves? How about the cliché "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and use the Perk to combat those who also use it, or to become the alleged "overpowered" warfighter when you equip it.

     

    Those accusations that now EVERYONE uses Sit Rep and no-one Dead Silence are quite bold attempts, but unfortunately are quite farce - of all the times I've played Domination, Search & Destroy and Team Tactical game modes, I've seen more players using Marksman (dubbed as the "legal aimbot", what the hell?) and Stalker than ever using Sit Rep. I play pretty much every night with a varying array of players from different areas - and it's all the same: Blind Eye, Assassin, Marksman/Stalker .. progresses to sit in corner. Definitely see a lot more using that setup than people using something else with SRP.
