Yo, it's not down, I see my friends playing it so its not the server is (our) server that are down. I don't know why.. I reed something about being hopped?... I don't know its pissing me off. It wouldn't be as bad if I didn't see my friends playing it while its tell me its down.

I'm getting kicked constantly in the middle of matches.  Says the either "disc read error" "sever disconnected" or Activision Serers Not available at this time!  Either way, something is definately wrong!

I have just recently been having the same issue for maybe the past 2 weeks or so.  I will be playing, quit for a hour or so, and then come back to the game only to find that the "servers are unavailable at this time."  It's getting annoying, especially when I see people on my friends list in the same geographic region as me playing.  Unfortunately, I don't have much to offer besides my condolences lol.

yes I am having the same issue and my system automatically updates during the night so there is no update, just a connection issue.

Same thing is happening to me. keep getting the error 'servers are unavailable'.this happened before as well. Dont know what the problem is.

Contacted tech support via chat and they say nothings wrong and will send it up to "developers" whatever that means.

sucks this is my only day off and cant play  come on at&t WTF????

I talked to support and the guy said that AT&T are working on their end and they are slowing getting regions back on line. He said the only thing to do was wait and it shouldn't take more than 48 hours he said.

I still have issues since mid day with inability to connect to the Modern Warfare 3 Servers. I am able to connect to the PSN Network, PSN Store, and connect to other games online. My first instinct was it was probably an issue with the activision side (virtual servers, load balancer, dns, etc.). So, I tried to connect with previous titles and found I was not able to connect online with Modern Warfare 1 and Modern Warfare 2 (both from Infinity Ward). I then tried to connect to Black Ops, I was able to connect online and even played about 10 Hardcore Search and Destroy matches with no issues. My assumption then is there is an issue on the Infinity Ward side (not Activision) potentially related to load balancing, servers, or application/database issue. It has to be something which is affecting a pool (group of users) which point to a certain route which is probably down or had some configuration changed. (I am using AT&T U-Verse 18Mb down and 3Mb Up, have tried on both PS3's i own. Location Ohio) Hopefully they figure it out soon, this is starting to upset me. ****NOTE: Wish they would be more straight forward with us and provide hourly updates on progress or timeframes which they anticipate to provide an update (nothing pushed beyond 2 hours for each update)***

Wonder if it has to do with the regions where we live, I live in Michigan, have noticed others in the mid-west, is anyone from other areas like down south or out west having the same issue? What the heck did they do in there update that would only affect At&t internet users or WTF???  I updated last night (08/24/12) and played for a few hours, then today wasn't able to???
