Will the Riot Shield protect you from knifing?

Basically, in MW2, I'll go up hit a guy with the shield get the hit marker, only then to get knifed through the shield and die. This doesn't happen often, but its crap when it does. So does anyone know if this will be fixed?

It did in MW2 as long as the person knifing you was in front of you, so i see why not in MW3.

  No, I mean the guy was trapped in a corner in front of me and I go hit him and his knife went straight through my shield. So ether he was cheating or its a glitch in the game that better not be there in MW3.

    I'd say more like he got you just a bit to the side,the commando perk could do that you know lol

My favorite thing is when I lunge forward to shield bash someone, they knife me through my shield. I hope the collision detection on the shield gets fixed. I'm tired of getting shot through the edges of the shield and knifed through it as well.
