So am I... notification center is awesome.
I know right? No more rude interupptions while I'm watching a video or playing a game!
Droid ftw?
Agreed, i know ima seem like "the a.hole" but some of these "new" features that are coming to ios 5 have been on android for years
I won't argue with you as you are correct.
IMHO Apple does a good job of taking what others have done and drastically improving on those ideas.
The one true innovation we can thank Apple for is bringing the consumer smartphone market to where it is now. Before iPhones came along Palms, Blackberries, Windows 6, and every other smartphone on the market were geared towards the business market and they were arguably a mediocre experience. Even Android seemed to bear some strike resemblances to the pre-iPhone marketplace with it's BBM styled UI and hardware.
I'm not gonna lie Apple does a pretty good job at what they do. They are responsible for this whole smartphone boom. The iPhone 4 is a pretty solid unit, good looking and works pretty smooth. I just prefer android, it lets me do certain things that i wouldnt be able to do on ios.
It's branded as a 4s in the UK, am I missing something, just thought it was an upgraded iphone4 ?
It's not the phone they are talking about, it's the new software, like windows vista to windows 7 kind of thing.
Got ya bud, I was about to upgrade to a 4s and didn't want to if a 5 was coming, thanks for that ![]()
Correct... we were just talkign about the operating system (iOS).
Unless you are running anything older than an iPhone 4 then upgrading to the 4S seems like a waste (at least IMO).
My business pays for it and I'm due an upgrade, don't fancy a smart phone and like the iphones so I'll take the 4s till next year
Downloading the update as I'm typing this.
Can't wait. ![]()
Has anyone tried iOS 5 on a 3GS?
Just got it for my iTouch, can honestly say I hate it so far.
Don't get me wrong it's really spiffy, I just can't stay connected to WiFi network for longer than 5 minutes, and when it d/cs I gotta delete the network and input the info all over again. =/
iOS 5 doesn't seem to run well on 3GS models or older, or any of the old gen itouch models. Iphone 4 and 4S run it just fine (obviously. It was designed for those two.)
and the Ipad 2. I am sure it runs fine on the original ipad, but I havn't heard any news on that.
Thanks for the feedback guys. My stepmother uses a 3GS and is hesistant on updating because of what iOS 4 did to the 3G.
No idea what model mine is =/
Oh well, Imma disregard apps and save that space for more music
