Are pointstreaks too powerful in MW games?

Yes:
-the ac130, pave low, osprey gunner cause untold spawn trapping.
-They are too powerful because people specifically play for them rather than trying to win the mission/game.
-An ac130 or pave low is called almost every game at some point
No:
-The Osprey doesnt get called very often. I have literally seen about 10 called in all my play time. And about half of those were from care packages.
-The MOAB is utterly pointless
-You have earned a streak so you should get kills
I personally think they are too powerful. If they cause people to aim for a streak rather than a win, they are too powerful. In my opinion a pointstreak should get you 5-8 kills max and help you and your team out a bit. I also think you should have to control a streak, because having an attack heli fly around the map for you is too easy.
To be fair the stinger and EMP makes short work of any of the air point streaks even the assault drone is a breeze to get rid of with the stinger.
I run support but I can see that the attack heli needs a bit of a buff maybe not appearing on the mini-map untill it hits overhead.
The only air support streak that seems to be worth it is the AH-6 overwatch and even then thats only on the tight built up maps.
I still have yet to shoot down a recon with the stinger. It's a pain in the ass so I just say screw it.
Yeah I find it strangely perverse that the little recon chopper gets a flare while the attack copter gets nothing.
The recon drone depends on who uses it if their getting a lot of tags then I shoot it down if it's someone who just seems to hover it about I leave it be.
Yeah it isn't like there aren't ways to take care of them of to not get killed by them

It depends the osprey is easily shot down i find myself running and/or getting killed by an attack helicopter more often than an osprey the moab is way to hard to get and its like a lucky stealth bomber with an emp on the other hand its to easy for a noob to pick up a controler and get a stealth or emp or e drop on their first time playing so it depends on what killstreaks
no all are easily taken out with a stinger or blind eye plus lmg. Even the ac 130 goes down quick if you work with another stinger equiped teammate.
The only thing I think is too powerful is the care package. You have 4 kills, then you can pull out an osprey gunner (That drops MORE packages? It doesn't make any sense.)
If killstreaks didn't stack, I'd say that they're actually too weak, but since they do, it's a a good thing that they can be shot down so easily. Imagine having to shoot 10 stinger missles to take down an Osprey Gunner that they didn't even deserve. At this point, though, Point Streaks can be shot down ridiculously quick. So, no, the pointstreaks aren't too powerful.

That's the point! You get a FOUR killstreak, which entitles you to a 17 killstreak, which drops MORE of those four killstreaks. And, I wouldn't know whether or not I would be happy because I don't use Care Packages.
I know what you mean about care packages, i got a care package, out of that an osprey and then the best package out of the osprey was an ac130...i know that crazy luck and rarely happens but hey, that 4 streak package can be powerful.
How is a care package over powered? You can't even call one in if there is a strafe, heli, osprey, ah6. IMO, care packages are under powered because if your team has loads of killstreaks out you can't even call in a measly care package.
I think it's overpowered because, just like deathstreaks, it gives players who aren't good enough at the game to get a 17 killstreak free Osprey Gunners after they achieve a FOUR killstreak. That doesn't sound measly to me. People complain about deathstreaks giving bad players kills. Care Packages just give players who can't go above a four killstreak the higher killstreaks.
This is just how I feel, though.
Yes they can get an osprey but if you have a stinger you can shoot down the care package heli if you are fast enough or shoot down the osprey before it drops care packages, it's only 3 shots. Care packages have been in past cod games.
How about this since the seem to just have a problem with kill streaks why not play barebones
you know how rare it is to get an osprey in a care package its not like oooh i got care package so now i have a 50% chance of a osprey no the chance of getting higher end killstreaks in a care package are from 1-5% so really you shouldn't even worry about that **** happening
Maybe you should play with people who don't let killstreaks stay in the air for the entire time. I will shoot down a heli before it reaches the map. The ac130 and osprey only need 3 shots, the reaper needs 2 and everything else 1. I have over 2000 killstreaks shot down for my stinger and play with people who don't let the enemy team get killstreaks.

Sure, they're easier to attain via the Pointstreak system but still easy to take out.
All you need a Stinger on your back & the Blind Eye perk if you want to be a good teammate by taking it out.
Also, Spawn Protection makes Assault Pointstreaks less effective.
Think about it this way. If you're allowing an Attack Helicopter (which has no flares) to roam around the map for it's entire duration, you & and your team are at fault, not the game.
I use a Stinger with pretty much every class I have, and I shoot down a lot of air support, but the point I'm trying to make here is that higher streaks can get you quite a lot of kills if the enemy leaves them up there, or give the enemy a lot of kills if your team mates suck. (I got around 10 from a Reaper only this morning.)

The point I'm making is that it's not overpowered if your teammates are not bothering to assist with taking out air support.
There are more counters provided in the game than it has been in previous COD titles:
Scrambler, Trophy System, Blind Eye (which you don't even need pro to be protected by Air Support), EMP & Sam Turret in the Support Package & Stinger Launchers.
This is such a touchy subject because in all honesty only a handful of maps allow for adequate use of airsupport. On open maps airsupport can really dictate who wins and who loses. I think they're so power then because of how little people try to stop them.

The EMP is the second most over powered, only because the effects last entirely too long.
The Recon helicopter should be able to drop flash/concussion grenades instead of blind you temporarily. This way to rack up assists at the least.
I actually think the AGM is the most OP, and I love that thing. The zoom it has easily identifies Blind-Eye users and it's got enough power to kill around corner. Plus it fire quickly. The AC-130 takes too long to reload it's cannons and the blast radius is piss-poor so good luck killing someone if the round doesn't land within 5ft

I'll have to disagree. Pave Lows aren't overpowered
They can easily be taken out considering it has only one set of flares compared to the AC-130 which has multiple flares and can get easy multi-kills if not taken down. My Pave Lows barely last compared to the AC-130.
I rarely see players use the Pave Low over the AC-130 as it is not A.I controlled & the AC-130 lasts much longer.
Okay, if people take out the pavelow. But depending on the map, people sometimes don't take it out. But all you need is a pinky toe showing and the Pavelow will kill you. The AC130 takes player skill and the building setups of some maps make it very difficult to get those kills.
Maybe I am just lucky, as people dont often take out my pavelow.

Put this remote copter the way you want it in the assualt streaks and i'd switch over to the assualt. Incidentally you do get an assist if the person you tag is killed and the tag lasts untill they die it's easy to get 10+ assists if your team uses the mini-map

ever heard of spawn protection? the ac-130 is pointless in non-ground war game modes.
and the pavelow srlys? it takes 2 stingers to bring it down. your just a guy who likes to run around with its akimbo fmg 9. equip a stinger and your problem is settle.
from my point of view, if your team lets someone get an ac-130 you and your mates deserve to be punished.

Anyway, I much rather have killstreaks being hard to get, hard to destory and powerful rather then being easy to get, easily destoryed and weak as they currently are. This would make killstreaks more rewarding.

It does. Play Fallen, get an AGM or AC-130, aim for the coner of the junk yard. That's a major spawn point and all the time I see people spawn in that location and I don't as so much as scratch them
Care packages are great I see lots of pave lows from them.
The killstreaks after a pred are fairly crap. Attack chopper gets took out before it hits the map lots of times.
If not you might get 2 kills max
Pave low is 1 stinger if your underneath it

Most kills I had was 4 lol
Agm crap on most maps and underpowered because the enemy runs for cover because he's lit up lol
You might as well tell the guy he's next so run for cover.
Ac130 crap most maps
Ah6 is quite good it can be hard for the enemy to spot it. The bad side is they know your underneath it and you have to walk it to the action.
Straff run is crap
Juggernaut if the enemy is not noobs they will all spray you with fmgs lol or just avoid you.
Osprey Gunner I had this in my settup but stopped its like a giant boat. People either shoot it down mega fast or they quit lol.
Also thinks like the ac 130 and osprey circulate the map so sometimes I can see the enemy in the open but can't aim on them lol
The best settup to use is uav care package pred
If I use assault, which is only occasionally, then I run with Pred, air strike and chopper. Once you get the pred the other two come from that and if the enemy aren't shooting the chopper down it can reap good rewards for little effort. I like it because there is no "getting it stolen" (which happens a lot with care packages). There is also no hanging around out of the game, apart from a second or two for the pred.
I have a class with Blind eye pro and an MK46, running on specialist so I never run out of ammo, and nothing stays in the sky long enough to do too much damage. None of the rewards are OP in my opinion. If I had to pick one though it would probably be the EMP.
