Should there be any gore/gibbing in BO2?

Posted by TheNickster99 on Jun 24, 2012 7:42 PM

Now, I am not posting this to be offensive in any way, and I do not think it violates the COC.

Do you think gore and gibbing will be returning in Black Ops 2, or will it be excluded?

I believe it should return, not only because it makes me feel like I'm actually penetrating the enemy, but also because it actually makes the game rated M for a good reason. The MW titles could definately be a T game if some cursing is omitted and "One Shot, One Kill" had only blood. However, games like BO and World at War would need a lot more editing to downgrade it. I think the gore in BO was much less glitchy than World at War, and looked much more... graphic(?) The only difference between the two was that in World at War, you could headshot and get a gib (except Multiplayer). In BO, there was gore in Multiplayer (little chunks), but you could full-on gib in WaW. I do think it should return, as it is one of the staples of Treyarch's games.

I would like to see gore back in the game. Yet, I think it wont happen due to the mass market of children that they cater to now.

I think it should be, it's basically the signature of Treyarch. They're darker and awesomer. 'Course, with whatever they've been doing with Multiplayer recently, I think it might be next to impossible to implement it again without lagging horribly to some degree.

The reason Black Ops's multiplayer did not include World at War's multiplayer scale of gore was due to a lack in system memory. It was either gore or customization. In the players' best interests, Treyarch chose customization.

You never know. Perhaps dismemberment will be included in Black Ops II's multiplayer this time around. We'll just have to wait and find out.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops, MA15+ Contains money exploding out of people when they die, Contains strong coarse language, ability to ban people for using course language and offensive clan tags. Dont you think this is a little rhetorical??

I'm up for a great, atmospheric experience. If that means gore, graphic detail and moody music (like in WAW), then go for it. Whatever enhances the experience.

Gore isn't the purpose, but it could be an important part of the presentation.

If they can fit it in this time, then I'm all for it.
