Fellow COD gamers,
Please read my personal experience and frustrations that I experienced with Elite and which I'm sure more of you have felt as well.
On march 10th 2012 I won second place inthe 100K day King Of The Hill event, with an ATV as reward. Since then almost 4 months ago, I have been chasing Activision and to this day the promised prize has not been delivered. The following is said clearly in the code of conduct/official rules:

Within fourteen (14) days of the conclusion of the Contest, Sponsor shall endeavor to notify potential winners by email to the email address supplied. Potential winners may be subject to verification of the Entrant’s eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules and Sponsor may require potential winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency.
This is something that did not happen, I was finally contacted on March 29th and from that point I have sent a total of 46 emails and counting with still no prize in my possession. I will spare you the full details in these emails because they are long and repetitive. I will share with all of you however that COD Elite has broken so many promises and that for me the fun and credibility has been taken out of this paid service entirely.
I have won other prizes in the past and I know for a fact that many others where unsatisfied with the delivery times and lack of communication. I remember one person in the past even demanded ELiTE delivered a prommised prize hich they did not want to do in the first place (I think this was a backpack or something). What I don’t understand that for this event the third place winner won a prize that was worth more in total then the first and second places winners put together. I am happy for the third place winner don’t get me wrong, but I am unhappy with the lack of logic that Elite put in dividing the prizes.
I think it is shameful that a company such as Activision can allow such promises to be made and be unfulfilled. I hope that all of the people who read this will get a good understanding of how Elite has lost all its credibility by not delivering on its promises and the way they treat their winners. I want people to know what’s going on because I’m sure others are feeling frustrated as well.
How do you feel about the way ELiTE treats their winners, and what would you do in this type of situation?

Ouch. I feel for you. ELITE hasn't treated anyone well, I guess. I'd have thought they'd at LEAST take care of their winners, so at least they'd have SOMEONE on their side (other than OneOfSwords). But I guess not.
No worries man it took 2 months just for me to get an IPad 2. Well 2 of them of course..

You know if i was you.. i'd send an email (with proof of your win) to every big gaming news site on the web and start with kotaku , fastest way to get a result from Activision or its affiliates is bad press
Thank you maccabi...I will follow up on your advice and start publishing this online tonight when I get home. The community and the rest of the world have the right to read about how Activision treats their subscription paying gamers.
i feel for you dude, i won the hawaiian trip in the same event and its all been sorted for me... no spending money tho ![]()

Please provide your Xbox Live gamer tag or SEN ID used to win the contest, prize title, email address, contest title, start/end dates, and the competition ID number when requesting information.

yeah its amazing how fast that happens when they have bad press incomming isnt it. wonder if they'll offer the same level of sub par customer service to everyone else waiting months to get their prizes

I'm glad that over a thousand people have read this post (and still many more are going to read it since I have followed up on people their advice and posted this on numerous websites). I have even sent an email to a famous Dutch news website in order to get this information out.
Sure it's nice to win the prize and receive it, but to me it's about the way the community is being deceived in to believing that ELiTE is a working product. Many others have been promised working features that to this day still aren’t working.
For example I still am unable to view my rendered videos on the ELiTE website, which is the reason I can’t participate in the NoobTube event. To keep things short, things need to changed because this isn’t the way you treat your paying customers, and especially not your winners.

Did your issue get resolved
Hi it's been a long time since I’ve checked this topic and it has been viewed a lot of times thankfully. To answer your question the issues did get resolved but it did leave a bitter taste in my mouth from the whole experience.
Getting the price was a drama, but dealing with the tax office was even worse. Because of the additional costs I had to bother Elite because I wasn't going to pay for a price that I had won. All of this could have been simply avoided if they had sent me a prize that was bought here in Holland where I live. But they wanted to take the long and difficult way so they choose to send it from England leaving me with a legal mess trying to solve everything while waiting for their slow replies.
Eventually I got the prize but to be honest it would have felt much better if everything just went like they promised. Instead of sending the Quad after 30 days like they promised it took a shameful 5 months. I even kept all the emails as proof of their unprofessional ways. You can tell that it has left a scar on them because there hasn't been a 100K day since
. Even the Elite challenges for prizes are gone now which I think is a shame because they where a real good incentive to take the game serious. It was fun while it lasted
