If You could select 6 bond movies for the game, which ones would that be ?

I Would select from every Actor 1 bond movie. Sean Connery : You Only live Twice with a level that you have to go the a place where Little Nelly is hidden, and that you can fly Little Nelly. George Lazenby: On Her Majesty's Secret Service, with breaking into the office of the lawyer Grumbuld. Roger Moore : The Spy who loved me with the end scene, blowing up Atlantis. Timothy Dalton: Licence To Kill : With The beginning mission to catch Sanchez. Pierce Brosnan : Die Another Day with the race scene on the ice. Daniel Craig: Or Casino Royale, with a scene in the casino, or a good scene from Skyfall
I agree the 6 missions should correspond to the six Bonds.
Connery: Tough call. One of what I like to refer to as the "Connery trilogy", three of my favorite Bond movies that all starred Connery and all were released back-to-back: Goldfinger, Thunderball, or You Only Live Twice. Goldfinger has the most iconic characters and set the tone for the Bond series. You'd run across Goldfinger, OddJob, and (they're going to censor it) ***** Galore. And there'd be a big climactic shootout at Fort Knox, one of my favorite multiplayer maps from NightFire. Thunderball could have a unique variety of levels, between flying the jetpack and reliving the epic underwater battles, and you'd get to cross paths with the lovely Domino. You Only Live Twice could make good use of Little Nelly and the epic ninja raid on Blofeld's volcano hideout.
Lazenby: Obviously OHMSS. Even though that's out of lack of other options, I could see a mission where you fight off waves of enemies while waiting for the safe-cracking device to do the trick in Gumbold's office, another mission where you sneak your way out of Piz Gloria, several sequences on skis, and the final raid on Piz Gloria.
Moore: If it were up to me, it wouldn't be Moonraker. While TSWLM would allows players to still battle Jaws and would have an epic set piece in the Atlantis hideout, TMWTGG would have my vote for Scaramanga's funhouse alone. The climax begs for a tense one-on-one sequence where you have to track Scaramanga through his lair, all of the props and effects distracting you while he pops out and fires at you with the Golden Gun. It's a perfect map for a FPS, and one that GoldenEye: Rogue Agent failed to use to it's full potential.
Dalton: While License to Kill would probably be a better choice for its gritty, violent feel that would probably appeal to more gamers, more epic settings for shootouts, and Sanchez's more expansive army of minion, I prefer The Living Daylights for its more traditional Bond feel. Highlights would include the raid on the MI6 safehouse, the rooftop chase, and the Afghan airfield and jet.
Brosnan: As the only Brosnan-era film not to get its own game, Die Another Day only makes sense. While definitely Brosnan's weakest Bond film, the ice chase in the Aston Martin could be epic, and there's plenty of over-the-top action sequences to chose from.
Craig: Obviously Skyfall. For one thing, it's the latest Bond movie, and of course they want the game to tie in. But also, while I would prefer on of the earlier two movies, they were already both crammed into the Quantum of Solace tie-in, and neither would be improved any by cramming it in with 5 other movies here.
I would select:
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
The Man With The Golden Gun
Moonraker
Goldeneye
Skyfall
I didn't pick OHMSS, just because it isn't all that well known, and the only Brosnan Movie I have seen is Goldeneye, so forget having his movies on my list. Goldeneye's a good movie, we've just had way too much of it in our games.
Daniel Craig will be in all of them, so they should do a Movie+Book+Daniel Craig combonation, because then it will have familiarity, yet have a Daniel Craig feel to it.
Since the Craig era has a stuntman, the Oddjob fight in Fort Knox will be much more intense. Same with TMWTGG.
The living daylights probably won't be changed too much, and neither will Casino Royale or Skyfall.
Well, it seems like there will one movie per Bond, judging by an article that says that Activision won't forget Lazenby. I revise my list:
Connery: Dr. No or Goldfinger
Lazenby: OHMSS
Moore: Moonraker
Dalton: The living daylights
Brosnan: He DID just have a full game devoted to his era, but maybe Die another Day?
Craig: Skyfall
If they do choose to forego Brosnan, then my wishlist includes the two bond films from Connery.
I Would Choose:
From Russia With Love
GoldFinger
You Only Live Twice
Live And Let Die
Die Another Day
Skyfall
Goldfinger
MHMSS
Man With the Golden Gun
Moonranker
World is not enough
Skyfall
Depends if you're going era by era or just the best six, personally i put Moonraker last of 22 films thus far, but the trailer looks good and i have to include it in my six regardless as it's being made.
Era based;
- Connery - Thunderball
- Lazenby - OHMSS
- Moore - Moonraker
- Dalton - The Living Daylights
- Brosnan - Tomorrow Never Dies
- Craig - Skyfall
Best six (well five plus Moonraker);
- The Spy who Loved Me (Egypt, Nuclear Subs, underwater bases, Wet Nellie [modernised of course for the Craig era star] Agent XXX, Jaws, etc it's an awesome choice, heaps of great action scenes in iconic locations)
- Tomorrow Never Dies (I know it's already been turned into a game, but imagine a modern incarnation; the pre opening credits fight scene would be a massive COD beating spectical, as would the car case with the ultimate Bond Car in the multi-story car park and in the streets of Hanoi and on the stealth ship, HALO jump, cool baddies, it would also be great)
- The Living Daylight (Afghan setting would make for some topical action, another Q Car film, this time on ice, move that scene of action from Czechoslovakia/Austria to say Belarus/Poland or Russia/Georgia, final battle with Brad Whittaker in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, other action from the pre title sequence also a mission)
- Die Another Day (Q Car, pre title sequence another huge COD beating spectical as would the battle on the transport plane and in the greenhouse and Cuba, interesting villans)
- Thunderball (Connery's favourite, several great sequences and great locales)
Other good options;
- Remake 'The World is Not Enough' game
- Octopussy (In the more implausible side along with Moonraker, but with great locales and characters)
- You Only Live Twice (Similar to some other better options in some ways but with great locales and Little Nellie)
- The eventual Skyfall game
- A View to a Kill (Not the best in it's day but I can see great potential in a Craig era 'reimagining' of the story, also has great locations; Kamchatka, Paris, San Fransisco, could potentially add Bangalore [India's Silicon Valley] and other similar cities associated today with technology but not in 1985 [Seattle, Dublin, Dresden, Jiaxing, Davao City, Sao Paulo etc])
From Russia with Love- Classic. Soviet Russia vs. James Bond.
Dr. No - For Ian Fleming. It is only fitting that he recieve tribute by including the original (yes I know the original Casino Royale came out first) 007 movie that really started it all. This movie is the most loyal to Fleming's version of 007 and will always be my personal favorite.
For Your Eyes Only
The Spy Who Loved Me
Goldfinger
Live And Let Die- BOAT CHASE SCENE!!!!!!!!!
Connery: From Russia With Love.
Lazenby: On Her Majesties Secret Service.
Moore: *Already Confirmed*
Dalton: The Living Daylights.
Brosnan: The World Is Not Enough.
Craig: *Already Confirmed*
Because this game's meant to be a celebration of 50 years of Bond films, I completely agree that there should be 1 mission per each actor. I also think that Dr No has to be included due to its significance in beginning the franchise. So my ideal selection would be:
Connery: Dr No (Although my fav choice would actually be Thunderball, because of the purpose of this game it has to instead be the 1st film. Besides, TB has enough content for its own game... )
Lazenby: OHMSS (The Piz Gloria battle would be great)
Moore: AVTAK (The toughest one. While I find Moonraker is a brilliant choice, AVTAK's fire escape, fire engine escape and mining base finale just edge ahead, though perhaps Stacey Sutton's constant screaming would be hard to bear)
Dalton: The Living Daylights (The airfield battle, the fight with Necros and the showdown with Whitaker are all reason enough)
Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies (The motorbike escape would make a great vehicle level, and the Stealth Ship provides both excellent stealth and battle opportunities)
Craig: Skyfall (Obviously)
Connery :You Only Live Twice
Lazenby :On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Moore :Moonraker
Dalton :The Living Daylights
Brosnan :Tomorrow Never Dies
Craig :Skyfall
Connery: I'm indifferent, all of them would be perfect for the game. Dr. No would have the Dragon fight, From Russia With Love would make up for the crap game from '05 with the right way of doing the Orient Express, Goldfinger would have an awesome heist mission, Thunderball would have a great underwater battle, etc.
Lazenby: We already knew before they announced it.
Moore: Although Moonraker is very videogame-ish, Man With The Golden Gun would be perfect with the fun house stand off with Scaramanga.
Dalton: I actually would prefer The Living Daylights considering the plane battle at the end that Uncharted 3 made good use of.
Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies, my personal favorite Bond movie, the shootout/stealth on the stealth boat at the end would be perfect for a game, and I've tried my best to recreate the feel of that scene in many other games. Both the car chase and bike chase would be incredible set pieces.
Craig: It's obviously gonna be Skyfall, but I would like a better version of Quantum Of Solace, since the movie tie in game was more focused on Casino Royale, and there were some good set pieces they didn't recreate.
Connery : Diamonds Are Forever - The Science Centre and the pipes
Moore : Confirmed
Lazenby : Confirmed
Dalton : The Living Daylights - Prison cell in the Airfield leading to Airplane sequence
Brosnan : Tomorrow Never Dies - Stealth Boat Sequence
Craig : Confirmed
I personally would have chosen The Man With The Golden Gun for Moore as it has an iconic boss and unique gadget for both Hero And Nemesis, the idea being that Bond would try and get to the Golden Gun and stop scaramanga with his gun because Bond's PPK got damaged during the flight to the island.
Thunderball-Under water fight scenes
ohmss-ski chases
spy who loved me-battle in tanker with british and russian salors
living daylights-battle at military base
tomorrow never dies-battle on stealth boat
for your eyes only-battle at monestry
Moonraker, OHMSS, Goldfinger, License to Kill, Die another Day, and Skyfall
