I did understand what Cheese was saying, and I disagree with him. The facts are developers have different control schemes to work with, so they don't need to use the Gamepad. Gamepad =/= iPad. Games such as ZombiU have proved that when developers use the Gamepad correctly, it offers deeper immersion and gameplay elements. Bad use of the Gamepad falls on the delevoper, not Nintendo.

Below is from someone I know who shared his experience with E3 this year.

"I walked away and found myself staring at one of my favorite franchises, Scribblenauts on Wii-U. Had an absolute blast. I had a crowd watching me and "ooohhing" and "wowing" and even applauding at the creations I was making. I basically went from trying to help a boyscout get merit badges to spawing a giant vampire chicken who was killed by hungry wolves who then became a pack of vampire wolves on a killing spree. I had to go back in time and summon Cthulu and bring him back to my time to destroy the wolves and then sent him back to his world. I then realized that everyone had been bitten and was now vampires so I nuked the forest and turned it into a radioactive ground zero as I flew away on my tophat/jetpack invention called the jethat. Good times."

I don't see bad integration or use of the Gamepad there. This alone got me excited for a franchise I have never played.

It would be very retarded to think that all the games will be like ZombieU. For example, Nintendo have proven time and times to know how to integrate the hardware and their 1st party games, regardless of the controller.

Besides, most big franchise devolpers will go lazy (trying to save some money and time) and they'll probably port their games (like COD) with almost no integration with the Upad. If  someone got a problem with the pad, he just need to get the Wii U pro controller and problem solved.

For me, consoles are for fun and for some 1st party games (my favorite franchise is Metroid in the consoles and BF in the PC FPSs), as I can afford the latest PC hardware to be up to date and be able to play the best games with the best graphics period, leave the high-tech hardware to PC, consoles will be never be able to compete against PCs, which by the way are getting cheaper and cheaper, while consoles more and more expensive.
