    Final Stand isn't Last Stand.  With Last Stand, the person was going to die no matter what anyone did, it was only a matter of time.  Anyone else who came along was just speeding up the process.  With Final Stand, if no one finishes the job, then the person doesn't die. If you do 100+ damage and walk away, and no one else comes along, then you don't get a kill because no one ever actually killed the guy.  If someone else comes along and hits someone in Final Stand, then they finished the job, they killed a guy who otherwise was not going to die and get the kill credit.

     

    Is it fair? Neither option is really fair.  I don't like Final Stand being in the game at all.  If it has to be present, I'd rather the game be able to handle half-kills to deal with the issue.  (Person who puts the guy into Final Stand gets a half-point on death, and person who finished the Final Stand guy gets a half-point.  If both are the same person, then they get a full point.  Same for if the Final Stand guy kills himself while in Final Stand, for an Assisted Suicide.)  But the game can't handle half-kill credits.  (Assists are not half-kills.  For one thing, Assists don't count towards killstreaks unless you have Hardline Pro.  Nor do they count on Score.)  And yes, half-kill credits would be a bit silly themselves, but they are about as fair as you can get for the situation.

    I've not seen it myself in a shotgun  heavy match, at least no more of a frame rate issue than I can also see in non-shotgun matches.

     

    I've only mentioned it before because Ghandi said that the game engine has issues with shotguns, when he was saying why they didn't want to see more AA-12 users.

    Still no word on an eta for a fix to this mess? At E3 they just announced Domination is coming to BF3 in a close quarters combat DLC / update. I'm not a BF fan but I think I'll give BF3 another look. Its not 60 fps and there is no matchmaking but it is supported better than MW3 and the hit detection works. At the least it's an alternative till they fix mw3...

    I have been doing aa12 only private matches and I have not been able to notice any frame rate issues.  Most of the participants had average or better internet connections so that might explain the stuttering not happening.  But we were not able to get the game to mess up with 12 people firing emags aa12s at the same time.  Considering it takes 17 strikers going off at once to even see the problem at all in infected I doubt an increase in pump shotgun useage will have any effect on game performance.

    Lol, I notice massive frame drops on ps3 regardless of guns. What about them fixing hosting first for us.

    It is interesting, usually PS3 has always gotten the short end of the stick for multiplayer, xbox 360 seems to always get premium support. MW3 and IW and thier quest for "fairness" has created an equally broken game on all platforms.  Xbox, Ps3, PC, Wii - Broken on everyone of them - Cheers IW

    @G IH A IN ID II,

     

    Hey!

    Can you please buff the Frag and the Semtex?

    Especially the Frag.

    Blast shield Pro needs a buff too, Both regular BS and the pro version.

    Last wish is the connestion on the PS3 needs some serious fix.
