K/D has always only been a pale reflection at best of how good a player actually is, and this game it's not even any sort of effective metric. A person can change their KD so much with just weapon and perk choice as well as playstyle so much it's just f*cking stupid. Let's also not forget if they do or don't play objectives and how often they do or don't, then when you factor in if they're team players mostly or not ever doing anything to help the team. Then you've got connection type and consitency.
Lastly, you finally have infection. I could make an account right now with a 7 KD only from infection. That's not counting things like team defender, drop zone.... KD means pretty much f*ck all now. There is no way to tell if it is a truly accurate representation of that person skill any more.
I used to care about KD but then I realised it didn't mean sh*t. I always do well KD wise in matches and try hard to but I'm also a team player and will do what I ca when I can to help out. Yesterday on Bootleg Dom on a 20 streak I went to cap a flag.
As for me sucking, I don't use any of the easy guns and spend a lot of time with the model 1887 which is now gold, I think I have maybe one class that has killstreaks on it that aren't specialist and if I remember on this account it's just UAV, care package (yes just two). Despite all those things, my KD on this account is ~1.9 over all, 2.something for KC and TDM.
On my other account that is for jokes where I use riotshield constantly and try out stuff my friends ask like pistol tknife only matches, UMP thermal ext. mags, stuff like that. That account I don't use any easy stuff either, even assasin, the only time I use it is with specalist where I get it anyways. KD, still 1.7. I also rarely play infected and when I do I usually kill myself because being infected is more fun than shooting a bunch of sh*tty players with no guns while I camp.
Also I've played every COD since before MW1. I talk from experience when I say now more than ever KD doesn't mean jack. Let me use your logic for a second tho, you probably suck at life, that's why you don't care about spelling, grammer and punctuation in the least. Or did your mom just tell you that you have to put that '87 at the end of your name to make you seem older than 12 because there are bad people on the internet?
Mine is 1.65 and 2.00 when playing TDM. Your K/D can be affected by different things, choice of gun can be a major influence. I use the easier guns ie. ACR,MP7 but also have thousands of kills with shotguns, mostly pump action/lever (top 500 in world). If you are using more difficult guns then it will affect it. Choice of game can affect it aswel. I play dropzone alot and can win 90% of the time even if solo, because I will always go for the win. I'm never bothered about getting killed, as long as they're not BS deaths.
So let me guess OP. You are one of the guys playing DOM/KC/SABO and sitting in the corner, never going for the objective, and just killing. No one really cares about K/D anymore. All it says now is, "Hey, I play objective games, kill whore the entire game, and never go for the objective. You'll hate to have me on your team b/c I'll be the one who went 31-5 but I'll still be at the bottom of the scoreboard b/c I sat on my ***** all game."
Sorry if that's not you but in all seriousness, no one cares. Tell us, what is your K/D specifically for TDM or FFA?? Those are where K/D matters. I never play those so don't even bother asking me. My k/d is over 1.1 something but my w/l is almost 60%. I care more about the win than my k/d. If I go negative to get the win, I just beat you and you have another Loss to add to your record. So what if I didn't go positive?
