It is also possible that the router & modem are having some "conflicting" settings (Such as dual NAT Control). That is why it generally why you set one as a "bridge connection" and leave the controls to the other one. This could also explain why when you set the PS3 in the DMZ it gets your NAT to Open

I don't think that is fair.  The devs were able to completely retool the damage stats on the lmgs, nerf the type 95 hipfire, and nerf the akimbo fmgs and they were still pumping out all the network fixes at the same time.  Apparently they have an entire team that can work on weapon balance.  And if you are not playing the game anymore why do you care if they take a couple hours to look at weapon balance.

Is that possible for a modem that doesn't have any controls or software for it? It's not one of those router/modem combos, just a basic modem from the isp. I don't have any access over the modem and I manage my network purely through the seperate router.

@esmorgue: Man if that is the case Im going to be pissed but not entirely surprised as my isp just recently informed me they were going to start doing data caps. Pretty large allowance though so Im not worried about that specifically but... By the way Im nowhere near that limit, nor will I ever be for my purposes. Your idea is interesting though, didn't really know they would effect nat outside of something just being wrong. Might have to give them a call tomorrow. Hate messing with these people man...

The only way I know of that to happen is that your account is broken or you are banned.

Re: Modern Warfare 3 Title Update and Hot Fix Notes

when the problem initially occurred i investigated it. granted this information came from the internet, but there seemed to be a problem causing accounts of a certain age to not have a reply button. the common suggestion was to just to make a new account. so i did. and other than to simply create an account to link to my gamertag, i have never used the the original account for anything. never posted 1 thing on it. and my history shows no posts, so someone couldnt have gotten on and used to and gotten banned. its just i created my account long before this forum existed and i cannot post in it.

I always used cold blooded in MW2.  I don't think I ever got stopping power pro in MW2.  Too many preds, ac130s, choppers, etc in the air.  As a matter of fact, all of my clan ran cold blooded once the air support kicked in.  We also used ninja to stop the heartbeat sensor noobs....Just sayin...

Well you are 1 in a million buddy. I mostly used Hardline/SP but had C-B on my shoot down anything in the sky class. I also used ninja. GayBeat sensors are just a campers best friend...

IMO Uav's and Assasin are fine as they are.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the forum moderators here I want to put my 2 pence worth on the issue.

AR the effective range is 100-800 metres.

SMG effective range is 3-150 metres roughly.

SG effective range is 1-50 metres.

This SMG must be good at CQB or the special forces of the world would not use it in CQB situations. (SAS = MP5).

So the fact that I have had to read about 20 pages of people crying About my SG will not kill someone with one shot does my nut in! Your SG is used mainly used for recreation shooting to OSK vermin and birds.

    Enough said I think!
