Sitrep hasnt changed at all except they added your own footsteps and teammates foot steps.... Has nobody used sitrep pro before???

The only way to. Punter sitrep pro is to do one of 2 things.

1) use sitrep pro so that it's an even playing field.

2) crouch. And magic they can't hear you anymore.

All pretty irrelevant to be honest. Soundwhoring is severely gimped in this game - even with sitrep pro and astros.

It's not the volume of footsteps - it's the range. if the enemies are anymore than a few metres away the sound completely drops off anyway so silence and/or soundwhoring isn't the advantage it was in MW2. Footsteps in MW2 had twice the range that they do in MW3 even when using non-soundwhoring perks.

conclusion? use Marksman or Stalker - you'll win more gun fights. Alternatively try to convince IW to give the footstep sound some range again, that way you can moan about sound whoring being overpowered!

i dont do SnD often, and i dont use headsets/DS/Sitrep and always perform well. people play well using a style they can use.

a counter to sit rep is in itself sit rep or dead silence, since you can still hear them...

I always use SitRep. The amount of claymores and boucing betties in S&D is ridiculous.
