I played in the core TDM clan op last night and as i usually only play objective based hardcore modes, i usually patrol/play tactically in these modes so as you can imagine im not a TDM fan.
But i thought i would play in the clan op last night and started with usual blindeye/assassin set up and a pp90 and the usual cautious gamestyle, and was getting owned for the first 15 mins, so i changed to extreme conditioning, hardline pro and steady aim and an MP7 and started rushing every game. Did my game change or what!!! unbelievable it was, i rushed every game and at one stage was starting to feel invincible and was having 23-7,18-2 etc type matches. It was a welcome change in playstyle, but will irevert back to my cautious playstyle again?
Rushing is the way to go. Welcome to the skilled side.
Rushing is by far the best way to play these smaller maps and cod in general, always favoured it and its always prospered for me
I think my problem is that i underestimated my own ability and always found the stealth perks easier for me. I still think that there is room for both play styles, depending on the objective and game type. Im not ready to take you on thisguy just yet lol, gimme a day or 2 to try more rushing and see if i was maybe on the good side of lag compo yesterday.
Stealth is the easy way out. Its why I call it the pu$$y way. Though the smarter players have an advantage to rushing as you gain control and become aware of flow and patterns. Campers just wait. Its a fairly unintellectual way to play
To be honest you'll find yourself going back to a defensive/tactical style once you start playing objective game modes again. Rushing in a game mode where the spawns are erratic is much different then rushing with more fixed spawns. You may find yourself defending two flags at once now, but I don't think you'll change up to be a complete rusher
I only play core domination and my preference is to rush, but the trick to success is to know when and when not to. Normally I do okay, but a perfect example of getting it wrong was earlier tonight. My whole team got totally owned and I ended up something like 6-21. We couldn't get a single flag, the enemy had it sown up. I should have slowed down but couldn't help myself. Good luck with your new found tactical friend, it is more fun than slow and steady, but sometimes slow and steady is needed!
Best advice i could give is change up your game style depending on the map and game mode because not everything will work for every mode/map such as rushing the enemy team on S&D or in your case trying to be stealthy on TDM
Wrong...RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH.
I always rush on tdm or kc its easiest way to obtain 30+ kills and when you are MOAB hunting like was said before welcome to the skilled side
I can't stand sitting still. I rush 100% of the time and the only time I stop is to call in a killstreak. For some reason, I feel if I'm just sitting there, all the action is passing me by, or that guy just got a kill and I was going to run that way so that should've been MY kill.
I can't stand sitting still in this game. Plus, I really only run with SMG's and to win most gun battles, I need to meet you face-to-face. ![]()
