Why does kdr drop fast but gain slow?

I'm wondering why I can play FFA with good kd all day and gain so little but lose only a few matches with something like 22-25 and it drops real fast. Something seems messed up anyone agree?

    It's not messed up, the way it works is correct;

    The game doesn't take the amount of kills compared to deaths, for example 5-0, it takes the ratio, which would be 5.0. adding a minus ratio makes your K/D go down alot quicker; while a 0-5 might not seem like much, that is actually quite a big minus ratio (-5.0), you would need that equivalent to get yourself back up.

    In that sense, a 5-0 score would be better than a 20-15, as it is actually a smaller ratio.

      Actually, yes the game does take the amount of total career kills compared to total career deaths. For example, if you have 45,167 kills and 32,781 deaths, then your kill/death ratio is 45,167/32,781 which equals 1.38. Likewise, if you only have 32,781 kills and 45,167 deaths, then your kill/death ratio would be .73. The kill to death ratio is always mathematically determined by dividing the number of kills by the number of deaths.
