This game is broken, pretty plain to see that. Weapon balance is a joke, and if lag comp is on your side its not very hard to go 50+ with an MP7/ACR with assault KS. Lately Ive taken to using weapons that Ive never used before, and challenging myself to do well with just that gun aka dont run lethal KS. My most recent success is with the MG36, which even when I dabbled in LMGs before, I had never used.
My question to you guys is what do you do to keep the game fresh? Do you intentionally use poor weapon setups to challenge yourself? Have you discovered any new weapons that you are actually good at using?
Yeah. I try unlocking weapons I dont usually play with. Been running glock akimbos cause they look cool. Dumb recoil though. Tonight prob try and unlock some dual pistols in HC clan op. K/D suffers from doing this , but at this point I dont care much about it anymore.
I ran around in HC KC with the P99 Silenced for awhile. It was pretty fun, had to move tactically to get a good score. Also shotguns, the pump action ones Ive been messing around with a little. Those are so frustratingly inconsistent but so fun when they work out for you.
In the HC from the previous weekend I ran around and went 21-1 on hardhat with a single glock somehow. Made me realize as much as I despise hardcore modes, its a great opportunity to unlock those hard akimbos.
Shotguns actually work in HC, along with everything else. Makes it easier to experiment with guns since they all kill so fast you arent really putting yourself at a huge disadvantage by using any one gun really, some are just way better than others.
never been a shotty kind of guy, but after getting owned about a month ago on lockdown by a guy in core tdm with a USAS I decided to try and unlock its proficiencies...still trying.
Just started using the MG36 myself this prestige to freshen things up. Also giving sniper rifles a go this time never managed to get the hang of them so if anyone has any advice ie tactics, setups it would be gratefully received
For snipers I generally go stealth mode, as you want to limit the number of times you run into enemies close quarters. I generally use SoH, Assasain, and Dead Silence. SoH is great if you run a pistol secondary, you can switch to it super quick if you run into any enemies CQC. You have to know what maps you can effectively use a sniper on, and they are different for everyone, but I generally stay away from snipers on Dome, Hardhat, etc, although the AS50 is fun to try out on those maps due to its strange optics.
I've been trying for a while to get to stability for the Barrett so I can try it with an ACOG. It's just taking such a long time because I suck with sniper rifles.
Ha same here. Ive been trying to get some sniper gameplay for a good while now. Just never quite get the score I want. I may be torturing myself by using the Druganov. That gun has way too much kick up to be a 2-3 HK weapon. Even in HC it sucks, if you miss the first shot, you're dead by the time the gun settles back down.
I have used nearly every weapon in the game, only have 28,000 kills and have got 1000+ kills with a good few and 500+ with even more but started to find that boring so back to the MP7 for me quite simply because it looks the part, especially with blue or red camo, love it.
Eh, I like using guns that nobody else uses. It makes me feel unique, like I'm part of my own group. Always enjoyed challenges, not just running and gunning with an OP weapon.
Nope, it doesn't USALLY take 3 bullets to kill. 2 max if you aren't shooting through and object. So usually it takes 1-2 and sometimes 3, but usually 2. But with vests, it takes up to 8 bullets max. No joke.

I warn anyone going too ham with a pistol in matches, if you are good you might be reset. People will think you are hacking, modding, etc. I have seen friends do this and get reset multiple times. It's like IW doesn't think people can be that good, just be careful and try not to get yourself reset.
I found the MK14 this prestige and have been using that alot. I love it. It seems every prestige I find a new gun that I didnt like before. ACR was prestige1 - then G36 - then the Barrett no the MK14
