    I personally enjoy using this gun, especially with recon pro for times when a direct burst doesn't manage to kill the target. I usually run rapid fire on it just to make up for its lack of damage and slower firing rate.

     

    I think the best part about using it might be the WTF moments from the enemy team when you do well with it as people rarely expect it or see it coming.

    Good vid again, your the man Matador! lol I used the M16 a few timee and have been wanting to use it again. Theres alot of AR's and LMG's I want to mess with alot more but man I just cant handle the loss of mobilty. I can do good with those guns but when my instinct tells me go its extremely hard for me to fight that urge. It will come down to decision like if I stay where I am at I can prolly pick off the enemey team as they come through but at the same time Im thinking well instead I can flank around and pick all these dudes off. Then by the time I flank around the action is all over with of course. I just cant stand not being able to get to where I want to go when I want to go there lol. Which I guess is the draw back of using an AR.

      Yeah, I am of a similar find. It's difficult to go back to assault rifles/LMGs after using SMGs for a while. The loss of mobility is a major drawback, especially for aggressive players like us. I just use extreme conditioning where appropriate and try to make use of the specialist bonus to help compensate for some of the cons.

    best advice i could give anyone who wishes to use the m16 is dont simple as that

      This^ Its one of the worst ARs in the game. Its rubbish til you unlock rapid fire. In previous CoD titles I was a M16 addict. In Blops I had the second most kills out of any weapon with the M16. The M16 in MW3 is terrible. Or maybe its the map design not being condusive to moving around with a three burst weapon. Either way, using the M16 in MW3 is just frustration waiting to happen.

    This is another good video ElMatadorY!  Keep it up!

     

    I recently picked the M16 back up, and I've actually been enjoying using it.  At distance, I win the vast majority of gunfights with it's incredible accuracy.  One thing that surprised me about it was it's effectivness while hip-firing.  I've spent the most time in this game hip-firing pump shotguns, so my reticle awareness is better than most.  The high damage dealt by the M-16 will usually put enemies down is one pull of the trigger inside 3 meters.

     

    I noticed you didn't care for the ACOG on the M-16.  I disagree, and put it at the top of recommended attachments.  Why didn't you care for it?

      Thanks Yeah, there are 3 main reasons why I dislike the ACOG sight on an M16:

       

      1) It increases the ADS time by a fairly significant amount. Since I play aggressively and usually engage enemies in close-mid rangers rather than longer rangers, it is absolutely critical for me to have the ability to aim quickly, since 2 bursts will nearly always be required.

       

      2) It increases the weapon's idle sway AND recoil, increasing the difficulty of remaining on target when scoped in and landing bullets on moving targets. Again, a weapon that relies on accurate aiming cannot afford this. Players who have better control of it can probably handle this more easily, but I struggled with it.

       

      3) The zoom bonus it provides is excessive, being nearly twice the normal zoom for an assault rifle. Like I said earlier, I do not usually battle over long ranges, so this extra zoom is but a hinderance to me.

       

      So yeah, those are the main reasons why I am not a fan of the ACOG sight on the M16, but more power to you if you can use it well!

        All true points.  When I use my M16 class, I definitely have to change my style of play.  I tend to move slower, and engage enemies at the furthest distance possible.  That is where it has an advantage on most guns in the game.  I suppose the same could be said for very close engagements as my hip-fire skills are pretty good these days, and one burst will usually do the trick.  It's the mid-range shots that are a problem, because 90% of the guns in the game are better.

    This gun is complete garbage. possibly the worst in the game. Not worth creating a tutorial about it, thats for sure.

    The single best thing about the M16 is the sense of achievement you get from each kill...

     

    It's not the best gun by a mile and anyone using it has given themself a handicap...

     

    I have more respect for the guy that just killed me with an M16, than most other guns in the game...
