If you go 6-36 on KC and finish on top you were boosting, period. I use support on my sniper class generally, but the other day my friends were bitching about the support class and how it was for bad players, similar to the sentiments in this thread. So I was like well ok I'll run support on my G36 and see what happens. 3 stealths, 2 Emps later, yeah, support is for everyone. Not "bad" players, not "good" players, ALL players.

Assault is for everyone as well, high assault killstreaks are for players whose playstyles can earn longer streaks, lower killstreaks are for players whose playstyles dont typically earn long streaks. What killstreaks people use do not indicate any type of skill level. I have all kinds of streaks set on my assault classes, 4-5-7 4-5-9 5-9-12 5-9-14, it just depends what I'm doing and what map I am on.

People have been bitching about support since launch, its the same crap different day.
