Will we ever get clan rankings/standings?

To our friends at Beachhead,

 

I have been dying to know if you are planning or are currently working on ANY clan ranking/standings system? If you are not, an honest answer would be nice. If you are, an honest answer would be nice. These clan ops lead to absolutely nothing but pointless grinding... which is one of my major dislikes of the CoD system. Adding more prestiges? Great... so we need to level grind some more. Fantastic. Without any basis for competition or comparison, ELITE is nothing more than an elaborate paid system for GROUPS to level grind. Great.

 

Either way, I think the ELITE community deserves an honest and straightforward answer. Thanks!

    I agree. They should have leaderboards. Makes no sense not to.

     

    Its bad enough they took down the clan leaderboards for each OP. Which makes absolutely no sense, I heard they did it so the top clans wouldnt get so many msgs about boosting. However the top clans ALWAYS post their kills on the comment board for each OP, so if thats the reason we dont have leaderboards for the OPs its just ridiculous.

     

    Then you should be able to check your clans stats compared to the other clans, Most kills, most win, win ratio, KD, SPM, Clan rank, gold medals won, average clan op rank.... So many stats that would be SIMPLE to make a leaderboard for.

      i agree with everything you guys are saying , i thought elite was advertised as a place to check ALL STATS like never before , black ops had better stat recording built in to the game . elites a big let down imo

      As positive as I'd like to be about things, the only thing I can be truly positive about is... NOTHING is easy for ELITE. Simple things that shouldn't have issues do. And simple fixes cause more issues than the original issue in the first place. I think we're on a downward spiral here. I would like nothing more than to have Beachhead get ELITE up to the expectation level many had going in. It had the opportunity to be groundbreaking and innovative. Instead, it's been glitchy, feels "thrown together" and it honestly has broken more controllers than any other game in history (IMO from what I've heard from others about it).

    While I agree that a leaderboard is a must for clans going forward. I do have problems with leaderboard in Elite 1.0

     

    Leaderboards will never be a true rating of a clan as it is now...

     

    (1) Clans that grabbed as many founders as possible then kicked out members to add more founders just for the founder XP (100 founders = 50,000 XP - Clan level 37 with out participating in a clan operation = no skill)

     

    (2) Boosting in clan ops - everyone knows it is happening, BH took the op leaderboard down so we can't check. That means cheaters can and will post scores above legit clans.

     

    (3) The clan ops are not designed to show skill in the game. ie DOM most captures? come on you need to win not just capture....

     

    There will be no useful information on a leaderboard as it stands now because ANY clan of high ranking will be harassed because of the above EVEN if they did not do the above...

     

    I will wait for Elite 2.0 and BO2's new clan lobby setup before the data on that leaderboard would even resemble clan skill. (No Founder XP, Only clans competing with no randoms, and a better Reporting System for cheaters/boosters for these ops)

      While I agree with everything you said for the most part, I think even leaderboards would enable people to SEE the clans that did all of those things you mentioned. The Founder booting, the boosting, all of those things become evident when you can compare numbers to other clans. Waiting for ELITE 2.0 is all well and good, but if they can't get some of the things to work here... Then it isn't really worth renewing IMO.

        This is why they pulled the leaderboards off to begin with. All the reports of boosters and cheaters. You want them to add it back so it will start back up again?

         

        I don't think BH or ATVI want to go through that hassle again. So they will use their resources and make changes to the system to address the above. Instead of trying to do the same AND add the leaderboards back AND have to deal with all the complaints of Cheating/Boosting once  up.

         

        Their solution is cheap but it does allow more resources to be focused on a solution instead of being divided up which will then yield less fo us in Elite 2.0.

          I see your points were mostly directed at stats involving the clan OPs directly. But I see every OP alot of  the top clans post on the comment boards for each OP their scores. Or people make it up, but either way they post their numbers and clan name. So if you are going to harass, report, and complain, you can easily do it anyways. with or without leaderboards. These top clans obviously dont care too much or they wouldnt post their numbers to begin with.

           

          Not all stats need to be elite OP stats, Total kills, total score, average SPM. They keep ALL these stats anyways for each player in the clan, to have a leaderboard for these I dont think would be a big deal? And I knwo its not a true stat of your clans skill or anything. But would just be nice to see and compare how u stack up. I dont think this would cause alot of issues imo

      Ok , theres only been 4 Domination Captures to Date and at least they are scored correctly, sure I agree you should get some credit for winning the game too..but  at least teams are running and gunning and not camping.. unlike .every Team Camp Match Clan-Op.

       

      TDM has been a nightmare from cancellations, to kills not being scored, to not getting your XP for days, Plus the boosting and of course CAMPING...

       

      .The worst Game mode is Hard Core TDM, REASONS

       

      1, the 10 second respawn delay,

      2, NO KILL CAM to shame camping

      3, Every Tom, Dick and Harry shooting RPGs, throwing their grenades,

      4, the lag comp when playing European teams and

      5, MW3 designing the maps so everything explodes around you,....Now does being killed  with 1 bullet or some random explosion and having to wait 10 seconds to respawn get you excited to play...I think not..  JMO

    A while back like in june they did have standings but ever since Black Ops 2 came out the standings havent been showing for any of the Clan Ops or Clan Challenges
