how come i can use rapid fire on a smg and mow people down right, left and centre but stick it on a lmg and i have to aim at peoples feet just to get a kill mostly a headshot because of the recoil it causes as for it on assault rifles well to be honest i cant tell the difference really.
If using rapid fire on a LMG you need to be using rapid fire + kick, or if using the M60 then rapid fire + grip. Also LMG's work best if you are crouched or prone. Burst firing also works better then just holding down the trigger.
i find that stalker helps out loads with lmgs that way you can strafe instead of trying to go head to head in a fire fight with an enemy with better accuracy. they will loose a sliver of accuracy trying to aim down their sites at you when you can just strafe spray and pray lol. I'm not a huge lmg fan in mw3. I personally wish they would have brought back the aug or rpd. Either of those in mw2 with stopping power and grip was a tastey combo.
