Would you buy Elite if it cost $100 ?

- They would make even more promises
- You would still get only 12 multiplayer maps or less
- They would call it "SuperElite" or "Even more Elite"
Would you buy it? I would. Cos I follow COD religously and I buy anything they ask me to buy.
Yeah, me too.
I have not even bought it yet at it's current price tag, let alone buy it for $100. Still on the fence about Blops 2. Not to keen on waste any more money on really bad games.
If DLC price went up..yes. If not...no.
The DLC deal is what sold it for me anyway.
Same here ^, the only reason I bought it was because it was a better deal than buying all of the DLC content separately. Perhaps if I was more clan-oriented it might interest me, but I'm not. It's nice to be able to look through stats, but it wouldn't be worth $100 to me. I am happy about having access to DLC before everyone else, so there is that.
if its a typo and you mean $10 I'd still think twice

What he/she said... ![]()
Kinda hope they don't rob all the stats from in game on Black Ops just to force you in to Elite.
At its current state (even with DLC) - No. Most of the DLC I haven't cared about anyway. I would have rather bought some seperately. And the way DLC has been used in the game for non-elite members makes it extremely rare to play them unless you are in the ELITE playlist which is an absolute FAIL.
MAYBE IF:
-The stat tracking was up to par and as accessible as the Playercard feature in BO.
-The Clan portion was more organized and up and running 90% of the time (I'm okay with them shutting down 10% to due updates/changes/etc to keep it working, lol)
-The ELITE playlist was an exact replica of the normal/advanced playlist. (Stupid to limit the choices for the people who paid more for the game/subscription).
If they could fix those issues...then I may consider paying the $50 again.

that makes no sense. if people aren't buying it for $50 why would they buy it for $100. that's a dumb question. the only reason i have it is because i bought the hardened edition and it was free.
No, because back then I didnt know how much IW sucked at making games. Its a scam in my opinion. I might get it next year againg if it has to do with zombies, but otherwise I wouldnt get elite again
I would be dumb enough to do it.
Never. I refuse to buy premium at the current price. 343i does the same thing with Halo for free, minus the DLC, and Epic's Gears 3 season pass provided all the DLC released thus far for $30, so hence Elite should cost no more than $30.
No. The reason I bought the Hardened edition is because I got Elite with it, and the overall cost comparison was less than paying for the DLC pack in the end. In the past I have paid over $60 for DLC all told... The hardened edition was what... $30 more than the regular version? Thats the only reason I did it, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. As long as its cheaper to join Elite than pay per DLC drop, it makes more sense.
Easy...HELL NO. I really only bought it to get the maps cheaper, but the game is so bad to its core that I have the maps and am not even interested in playing them.
If I felt it was value for money..then yes.
No I definitely would not. Only reason I bought elite was for the cheaper price overall for DLC. But I will most likely be buying another years subscription for Blops2, because treyarc's DLC is a lot better than what I've seen so far for Mw3.
What kind of dumbass would buy Elite?
"Cos I follow COD religously and I buy anything they ask me to buy."
Oh wait, you.
As a value vs. buying all the DLC seperately.. maybe.
But that's starting to price me out of the game in terms of value vs. cost.
I think the pricing now is acceptable. If they added features I thought were worth it, I would probably pay a little more... $10 to max $20.
Taking into consideration its present track record, a definate no!!.
In all honesty it's not really a bad deal as it stands now, if you are into it that much. MW3 is my first foray back into MP gaming so I didn't mind spending the money to check it out. Saving $10-15 overall isn't a bad thing either as I pretty much never buy DLC for games (depending on the game).
However, going up to $100 would be a bit much for a few reasons. A: A new game every year is to soon to get a ton of MP content and actually enjoy it when you have DLC coming out at the same time the next game is. B: I already pay around $70 for my Xbox Live family plan (buy several 1 year cards cheap) and $50 fo psn+ (just to check it out). $100 would be really stretching it just for stats and a tad more DLC.
$50 isn't bad and I will renew when BLOPS 2 hits, well, as long as I'm still having fun by then that is ![]()
NO. I have found it low value for money. And what do i actually own? Nothing. I don't like the way this is heading...
But you can say that for ANY game's DLC. All you own are some files on a hard drive. If you play the game and would get all of the DLC anyways, it's worth the money unless you want to spend the extra $10-15 buying everything seperatly.
I guess it's all in how you see it, but I don't spend extra money when I don't have to. As long as they keep you saving money (overall) and I'm still interested in playing I'll do it.
Edit**
I mean this at it's current price, not the $100 as there is no way you can actually "use" that much DLC by the time the next game comes out (imo).
No chance.
Wouldnt buy it for $1 so 100 is out
Don't give them any ideas you moron. Wow $100, are you nuts! No fn way would I buy this garbage for $100!
I bought the hardened edition for $30 more so $100, you buy the game itself and then $50 for elite you still payed more. (And for what really?) compared to the hardened edtion, I won't buy it for blops 2 but if they have the hardened edition I will buy that cause its cheaper all the way around and with all the problems this pie hole has, if y
if ELITE was free and built into BLOPS II, they could make it a requirement for multiplayer. Then they could offer a free trial for premium to check it out, and charge smaller, tiered premiums for DLC, Real Clan Ops, Rent Servers, Pro Tips & other in-game swag.
Basically, break down that 50 bucks into smaller bits, and give us the option to not pay for features we're not happy with or don't care about. Generally speaking, microtransactions are viewed as lower risk by the consumer.
If there were options in the pricing it might look more attractive. 50 bucks is probably the most they could charge – unless there's more being offered.
After the long line of fails, they'd have to prove the value with some kind of full featured free trial imo.
