BO2 THE MOST INNOVATIVE COD SINCE COD4?

Posted by gallp13 on May 20, 2012 4:09 AM

Campaign innovative features include;

- branching story lines

- adversary response dependent of player mission selection and performance

- the ability to select are character or piece of equipment in key missions

- overlord mode - top den strategy approach

- ability to drive vehicles including tanks and aircraft

- ability to control quad rotors and claws (unconfirmed)

- sniper scopes that see through walls

- sniper charge based high penetration ammo

- pushed the graphics engine with new lighting and fav e animation features

I wonder what 3arc have in store for multiplayer.....I'm excited!

What say you,  in 3ARC we trust? This looks like serious innovation to me.....thoughts/comments?

Are you saying I can create my own class layout for missions. If so I'm excited. I've been wanting this in a CoD\MH game for years

DAMN YOU FOR GETTING MY HOPES UP!!! lol

I see then they're trying to compete with Battlefield. This should be interesting to watch play out

The HALO games got a little to rediculous for my taste. I'm not some who prides himself on reaction time and that's what HALO required. Battlefield felt weird and I couldn't stay interested. So all I have left is CoD, if they start trying to beat other games by stealing their style I promise they'll lose all their customers. CoD is a great game because it's CoD, not because it's HALO, Battlefield, or Medal of Honor

    Did you mention:

    - multiple endings based on player choices throughout the game?

    - 3 dimensional villain, meaning this time we will know why the villain is doing it.

    - strike force missions?

Eventually after vahn posted on Twitter getting some community feedback about sniping they came up with this: There will be no Quick scoping but snipers will have this great new feature for it. It's an attachment called "Awesome Optic" basically it allows the player to see through the walls through the scope. It needs an electronic charge to penetrate though to avoid it getting to over powered. It seeks a balence between snipers and non-snipers, hope all u like it.

I really just hope campaign is something different. The whole, go this way, shoot these guys who hide behind boxes route is sooooo damn old. Mw3 campaign was OK, it had it's good moments and a whole lot of the generic kill multiple squads over and over again.

Also add that the bad guy will take advantage of your mistakes, and that he would get a dick-kick if you succeed in something to stop him. So every thing you do will change the storyline like a game as Mass Effect.

Call of Duty hasn't had a good campaign since MW2...with all these new features you guys are talking about...looks like that's about to change.

Looks innovative. BO was semi innovative, same with MW2, but this is something else.

I am 99.99% sure i started that quote on these forums over a topic regarding the game in one of the very first posts

But in regards to your OP, Yes Black Ops 2 will be the most innovative CoD to date. They did it the first time with WaW by adding zombies. A second time in Black Ops 1 by bringing back zombies and adding currency, theatre, dolphine diving, wager matches, unstackable killstreaks, youtube uploads through fileshare, etc.. Its no surprise to me that they are pushing the boundaries yet again and are coming even stronger this time by not only doing these things in multiplayer but also pushing to change the way campaign/single player is played. I've said it before and ill say it again: "In Treyarch we trust". They are CoD's last hope, and treyarch is pulling out all the stops and wont go down with out a fight
