I mean we come here almost everyday and post on these forums, is our generation of people so sad that to feel significant we come here and talk crap, I'm drunk and just thinking about why I come to these forums and there is honestly no need for it, people since the beginning of time have used face to face interaction but we do this, we really must be the worst of our race since the beginning of time.
LMAO at the title, but its all opinion. I mean were the Romans who let lions eat people in front of a stadium full of people worse than us?
No they didn't.
At least they told them to their face they was getting eaten, for people here we feel big just by typing something, I'm honestly starting to think the Internet age will go down in the books many years from now as the biggest disaster in the history of mankind.
Oh yeah they did.
No they did not. There is no historic evidence that the Romans fed anyone to lions.
There are historical accounts tho, nevertheless they killed criminals in front of stadiums full of people. I will research your physical evidence theory lol.
Don't forget to list as the least educated as well....
And least literate.
You must be incredibly illiterate. Only noobs start off sentences with the word 'and'.
You may have a point, from the beggining of cod, i have tried to entice some of my original xbox pals to a weekend in Blackpool, it ain't come off yet. Funnily enough we are talling about getting it on this year.
Saying that we have said the same thing for 6 years now, having said that we come from all over the country and have other commitments, oh well maybe one day.
Edit:
Jeez, some folks got deep on this one. Nar our for fathers killed in spades without an educated guess.
Yes, it is sad we are all on here. There are plenty of better things to do. I've been around since Atari man. It's just fun.
Atari was cool, do you remember pong though, thats my reference point.
Please don't bring up Atari. Christmas morning was sad when, as an only child, I had to try and ricochet a round to kill another tank in Tank Battle. It took months to even get Adventure...
Even before the internet people found ways to hide behind things. Tho it is prolly much easier now just because everyone has computers. But i dont think that would make us the worste generation.
I think hitler and the 20s generation get that title,we post on forum and the previous generation start wars over oil, the nazis tried to exterminate an entire race from the face of the earth
What Hitler done was nothing unseen before, the Vikings, English and Romans done a lot worse.
Well over 60 million people died during WW2 including 40-52 million civillians. Russia alone lost over 25 million people. That's not including gruesome slave labour camps, concentration camps and Genocide.
Would you kindly point out what British or Roman empires did that was even close to that? And sure, the Vikings did the whole **** and pilliage thing but nothing even close to the scale of the Third Reich.
Take it to bed kid, not to heart.
I thought you wanted to discuss the "worst generation in history" Obviously not, you just wanted to be patronising instead. Oh well, I live and learn.
You really need to ask? Of course we're trash dude. We are horrible. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Yes... its terrible we choose to communicate. How dare we.
As for me... sure there are better things to do, but I get a lot of down time at work
. Helps fill the hours for sure.
ok i will admit the british empire did some nasty things you know like the slave thing but last i checked so did most of europe, and the americans (infact im pritty shure you kept race discrimination far longer than anyone else) where as the Third Reich Industrianlised the mass murder of jews, the mentaly disabled and east europians. the death camp Auschwitz killed over a million such people alone and there was more than just this one camp.
dont forget us brits made hongkong by feeding them opium we have plundered every country on the planet and continue to do so all the middle east is about is oil and possibly opium and we only hold the falkland islands due to the vast supply of oil under the poles that we want when they melt back or technology gets better to pump it out .
The British Empire wasn't built from plunder, it was built on trade, migration and intergration within other cultures. Sure, it got bloody and atrocities where commited but all nations have those in their history, the past was a violent and bloody place. That doesn't make them right but it should be put into context when discussing the British Empire. Do you think the British are fighting alone in the middle east? They are part of a coalition which is backed by the UN and for good reason.
As for the Faulklands, it may be an overseas territory but the people who live there are more patriotic than the vast majority of mainland Brits, they are British and they want to remain that way and as a Nation we have a duty to defend them if they get invaded. The Faulklands have been British for a long time before the discovery of oil and just because it's now been discovered doesn't make us the bad guys.
It's strange how whenever this subject comes up everyone seems to ignore what the British Empire did for the world, like spread Democracy, a justice system and healthcare through out most of the world, The industrial revolution and globalisation. It was the scientific cornerstone of the world producing scientist like Newton and Darwin, it brought the human race out of the dark ages and educated the world on the origin of life and how our world works. But lets forget all that and make up stories about force feeding Hong Kong opium, the seats are more comfy on the band wagon afterall.
make up stories you are looking thro rose tinted glasses want a cigar with that large brandy , we wanted tea they would not give it to us so we introduced them to opium not just opium but other spices that we had TOOK from india, hong kong was built on the trade of opium and other things we had took from other countrys yes we opened up trading posts through out the world , we marched into countrys and just took what we wanted then opened up trading, like the seven boat loads of gold we just took from deli you just cant be that nieve the british were ruthless and i live on the boarders of england and scottland . you can say we were brilliant but all it was was plunder .
For all you know the internet could be keeping peace and all the face to face off's could of led or lead to worse things...maybe the fact that we can communicate online and discuss things like the way most of the world is now that it stops heated meetings and protests...
But i do get where you are coming from...the "internet" generation is a bit of a joke....there should be a HUGE venue set up on a regular basis in every town for CoD players to meet and discuss and play each other...I bet you wouldnt get 12 year olds acting all tough and swearing at you then lol....
yes we are, and the "end" is still far away
No doubt about it, the current people on this planet are by far the worst ever. But then again, I actually hate human beings, and yes, that includes myself. I find people to be manipulative, selfish, and just plain bad.
Lol, no comment.
I will say that this is the worst generation of CoD players. I blame MLG, GB, Youtube and all that other garbage.
Homo Sapiens have been about for roughly 200,000 years,
most of that time we've been involved in warring with other tribes/clans/races/countries.
It's just luck that our current generation (at least in 'the West') is going through an unusually peaceful period.
Make no mistake, however much we deride Stalin/Hitler/Mugabe/Pol Pot,
if the right conditions appear, most humans on this planet will gladly repeat history,
convincing themselves that the barbarity they are perpetrating is somehow justified.
I'm sure there have been worse generations throughout history. And the thing about most of it in forums is that its not really serious. Sure there are some people that are, but most of it is just whats called friendlt banter.
But as far as a need to talk online,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I remember 35 years or so ago my mother would sit at her little table with her ashtray and beer talkig on the cb for hours. I think there is just something about annonymous conversation that people find appealing.
Well my generation were flower children. Many were too eat up to be anything else. The majority of us finally grew up and started being productive. The smart ones were all along. There are people in their 60s and older still doing the drugs. Many of us were worthless to society including me. So now this generation is going to need to find itself. Technology is overwhelming all of us. Pray a lot.
Dark ages. Nuff.
