This post here GHANDI mentions the buff being only for Hardcore Modes, so if you read from there and the previous pages, you can probably find any other relevant posts.

I have had this happen to me a half a dozen times and i watched it happen to a friend, as well. It has happened to me both when using my headset and playing with just the TV speakers. I  too would like to find out what causes it and if there is a fix in the works. It really sucks when you have a headset on and it sounds like someone is setting off a crowd dissipating device in your ear. Also, if there is something i can do to prevent it from happening, a heads up would be nice.

Ok when can we expect a fix to the lag comp? Honestly, if you tell me you're going to be tweaking or "looking into it" I'm selling the dam thing. I'm seconds behind EVERYONE even dam green bars, my w/l ratio is like .38 I have to leave every other game cause I pull host or am put in with 3bars... I have tried letting ping go to 75 so i'll be a 3bar... yet I'm still seconds behind. It's not reaction time, I'm pulled towards enemies and instantly killed.

How the hell can you say you play this game at home and don't notice a problem... do you get drunk and play? The problem is not matchmaking, the problem is not lack of players, lack of maps... why are you fixing those things? Adding new maps when clearly EVERY person on this topic wants lag comp fix, you could take back all your poorly designed map additions... as long as you make the game to where we can actually play it. EVERY game I have joined today EVERY SINGLE ONE I have to leave.

I hope Activision smartens up and takes you out of the contract. Give some other up and coming game developing company a chance, I'm willing to try a COD from a company that formed THAT YEAR then to buy another title made by IW, you guys have proved to EVERYONE you have not changed and can't handle the pressure, why don't you ask Treyarch for a helping hand... their game isn't even ready yet and I'm sure it plays smoother than yours... SIX MONTHS after relese.

God, it gets old replying to this topic only to see you comment on things no one really gives a dam about....this update has done nothing NOTHING for millions out there... yet yall consider it a success. Those 2v2 1vs1.. they will be a boosters paradise... and the hype will die off soon and they wont be played. Focus on fixing the main issue rather than adding more broken/boring stuff into this VERY BROKEN game.
