punish players for leaving game early

all day today players leave when they are about to lose. please find a  way to punish them in bo2 lol

    i agree its crap when people leave a game but some times its necessary i never dashboard but i have just up and left games when ive had too so theres not much they can do

      I am renowned for Signing Out if my gameplay is being hindered by poor matchmaking, and this false notion of "equality" that punishes the host. As Machine (dffhf) thought I wouldnt remember....said sometimes it is necessary to leave.

          Those early days were kindof fun on MW3 CoDHQ...remember the sdrol guy that was the top guy? He spammed every subforum on every topic. When the Forum counts got merged he posted probably 2-3 times after asking how everyone got so many posts within 1-2 days of him not posting.

                there was one i remerber that called every one kid when he didnt get the answer he wanted from them what a f*cking idiot he was and he never got banned for being abusive either

                    the forums are not the same now off topic is terrible and nearly all the post are now people begging for subs and post crappy cheapscoping videos

                      I think OT will do better this year. Most OT Vets have either had their accounts botched, or are mainly inactive because they are from the W@W days. Though Jedi figured out how to fix his account, and weird has his working again. I would like to get a hold of Horror to tell him Jedi can probably help him get his running again. He is the most senior of us going back to CharlieOscarDelta days.

    I think that if you leave 2min 30 sec before a game ends then it counts as a loss. If you leave before that time it counts as usual, a forfeit. That way the people who are obsessed with their WIN LOSS RATIO, will stay.

      Well last year you got a loss no matter what. That is punishment enough.

          Well the point of the game is to win. I see w/l a better sign of skill than most any other stat in the game.

           

          Love seeing those 4kdr players with a .2 w/l.

           

           

          I don't think players should be punished for leaving when there is lag issues at hand. That really needs to be fixed first before we start punishing players.

    I'm all for keeping it the way it is. Especially during the beginning, when everything hasn't been sorted out.

    I basically leave because I've already been punished enough by being made host. I'll take it for a bit and see if I can do anything to stem the flow of insta deaths. But if not? I'm outta there. I don;t need more punishment. I've already given the other team cheap and easy kills.

    The way matchmaking/sync issues are with the current game, half the time Im half a second behind most of the other players, the other half of the time Im half a second ahead of the enemy team. Im going to quit out of games where I have a disadvantage and stay in games where I have an advantage. Its no fun having instadeath equipped. Ill take a bad W/L if I can have more fun by quitting out.

    If this was a fair game, with no lag, no dumping people in to a MOAB and guaranteed loss, etc... then I would accept a punishment.  As it is now though, no.  The developers have the right to put whatever they like in the game, I have the right to play it or not.  Also, wat sort of punishment are you going to put in?  Not much would work on me, I care not for KDR/WLR or any other stat, I play each game as it comes for the entertainment it brings.  When the game is over I forget it and move on to the next.

    Assuming the games are balanced and fair the only punishment I can for see is recording a loss and maybe an extended wait time before you can join the next game

      Either you are a child or just un-educated. People have the right to leave when they want however they want.

    my W/L is 0.13... and that's because this game sucks more cock than a whore in bukake.

     

    Either my internet is being **** ... Virgin Media -.- or this game lags me too much -.-
    My stats on other games are extremely high... this game, my stats are low as **** and tbh, I am sick of being beaten if I get put in a middle of a game and the team is getting trounced or if everyone is able to shoot me from a mile away with one shot, through a wall, with a gopher.

     

    Until they sort this game out... my stats are going to remain low... or I'm probably just going to smash my disc like I did with MW3...  That deserved to get smashed(stupid end of game matchmaking)... but that's another story..

    Other times, I've had to do something like answer the door, the phone, go out, etc.

    I believe the match is counted as a loss under your W/L statistic if one dashboards. And, honestly, I don't care - I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO KEEP QUITTING GAMES where I DONT HAVE FUN.

    Sorry - but it's not interesting for me to boost the opponent. I imagine the OP would like to stay on in a game even if they end up boosting the opponent team going 0 kills to 50 deaths - and I also assume OP will have a lot of fun & enjoyment getting killed 50 times every game.

    Using the same logic that OP suggested, I'd also like if 3arch decides to "punish" players that get killed more than 20 times and/or have a < 0.3 k/d and/or have a < 100 SPM. It irritates me to see players on my team that boost the enemy by getting killed 50 times - probably like the OP will prefer.

    I agree with mn7_la. The match-making basis of BLOPSII is horrible. They will always put my party in a loosing effort match, where the other team is winning 45-160 in domination. I'm not going to play through a game that is already being dominated.

    Counting the game toward your win loss is their punishment. If you have to get off suddenly for some reason and they punished you then everyone and there brother would be on here complaining they had a "legit excuse". I agree it's annoying but when I play a game and host migration happens 2 times and the new host has one bar well ill be honest I back out I'm not gonna play through that's there is no point.
