PS3 16-20 prestiges not until mid June, why?

PC already have it, XBox 15th May, PS3 mid June according to Infinity Ward's Twitter page.

I'm sure they will say it has something to do with PSN not authorising release until then,but they have known about it for a couple of months so that is BS.

Does it help sales in some way, cos i don't think it does. So many players are now at P15/80 just waiting for the extra prestiges to drop, yet they delay it. I was at P10/80 and had collected all but 4 golden guns when they announced an extra 5/10 prestiges, i have now been tredding water and not collecting numerous golden guns just using the same guns only to find out I have to wait another month.

It should be sorted sooner, don't you think?

Don't bother posting if you aren't P15 because you really don't have a valid opinion for this topic.

Because thats when the next map pack comes out for PS3; hence the next major patch will come at the same time.

  They gave it to the PC on Tuesday when the map pack came out, PS3 had a map pack on Thursday but we didn't get it then, XBox gets it when their map pack comes out on 15th May. You're probably right, but there's no reason why we didn't get it on Thursday by your reasoning, plus no reason why they can't just throw in an update just for this.

      Same theme as the maps, 1 month behind the 360. Just how it is, though I'm an idiot and play on both systems so it dosen't bother me at all.

    because if u didnt know it cost around $40,000 to release a patch. so instead of wasting money on releasing a small prestige patch they are saving it for when they have to release a patch for the DLC in June. make sense?

I don't think I'm going to prestige past 10. It stinks going through the cycle over and over again.

Releasing them later is to basically try and extend the games shelf life and thus improve selling of either the game or the dlc

It's no big deal if they havent released them yet

I am getting bored being 15/80 (although ive apparently been promoted to commandor 3 or 4 times since) i was hoping they would bring them out soon too but it has pressed me to play game modes i wouldnt usually play much like infected etc so cant complain

    Screw doing 20 prestiges ! What's after that 20-25 ? I think it's bullshit. If u guys really don't have a life and are at 15/80 . Try Craigslist and look for a job.

      i hav a life and a job its just that my gf works hours when i dont so cod fills my time i hardly play fri sat and sunday (only when she is getting ready - which is a few hours lmao)

        Wife is the same way lol. I was just saying I dont think they should they have added prestiges. I mean people play the game to get the highest prestige , when your there you feel awesome. Then you add 5 more and 5 more , it might just be me, but just leave the prestiges alone. If you are 10/80 then awesome. Play madden or campaign it, or try challenges ! I think they just stop the prestiges.

        i actually agree that they shouldnt add anymore ... its not been done before in any previous cod's so why now? ppl say to extend life of the game but as has been said not everyone prestiges. idk why they dont add more weapons, equpiment etc that would extend the life and keep me more interested at least

      finally got to 15 yesterday. took six months to do it. with all the problems this game has and one of the worst clan ops they have had today, they have other things to fix instead of more prestiges.

I just keep prestiging up again when I get to prestige 15 level 80. I go back to level 1 and get a free token every time I do it. 4 times now.

    I am just at the end of my 14th prestige now, nearly 15th yay. I dont want these new prestiges. I wanted to be top prestige. I got to tenth, now 15th and now looks to be no end in sight. I will stay at 15th i think. I have all custom classes and all emblems from the prestige shop and a few tokens spare. I have no more need to prestige
    
    I dont see why we need 5 more prestiges with the same boring emblems. Its a waste if you ask me!!

Im 15th Prestige Too I Been It For 3 Weeks Now Its Gettin Boring And Xbox360 Already Got The 16-20th Prestige My One Friend Is Almost 18th Already And Im Still 15th Level 80 They Should Of Just Added The Prestiges At The Same Time

Just recently got to 15/80. Yes it feels good after 13 days of playing this POS, but then I confirmed the release of 16-20 and that just blows. I am ready to work on getting all gold guns and completing all of the challenges. Instead I am thinking of playing BO until they release the new prestiges just so I am not playing for nothing. Maybe I should just do level 15 over again for the token....
