Elite isn't a game
and so many people say they WANT an Open Beta but keep saying over and over there won't be one, I don't believe it has been confirmed there won't be on or there will be one, but the more people say they want it the more Treyarch will think about it (hopefully).
Open Beta would be awesome.
Treyarch I publicly demand an open beta for BOII.
Most of us have poured ALOT of money into these games give the people what they want.
*please*
Yeah, that's the point. Betas are to test the game, so people who pre ordered now are huge fans, so they will want to help in the beta.
it would not just be pc .
an WaW did have an open beta, if you pre-ordered the game.
So Black Osp 2 should do the same thing. So we dont have to
deal with all the bugs an people glitcing an cheating on day one.
the reason why they dont want to do an open beta is because they are afraid that if the community dont like the game then the sales will go down. but in all honestly, it would be a really smart move by Activision/
treyarch. these usless ecuses for a good player, what i mean by that are the noobs that exploit these glitches and what not can actually come into use and get rid of it and it will be better off getting fixed early then driving the develpoers crazy later on. if you are reading this Activision/Treyarch, do the right thing and make a beta open to the public. be smart for once.

Which is a darned shame because there are many people who would be glad to try an open beta, come here and express their view and use the beta for its intended purposes.
I for one would be willing to put time and effort into doing so, I really want the game to be ready to go day one without needing a day one patch.
As would I and a number of other peeps here...
... but but if the "ZOMG Why can't I haz Quick Skopze" crowd got in...
... there goes the neighborhood.

Lol very true.
Yeah, the only down side as you said, is that much of the Call of Duty community expect Activision and Treyarch to make a perfect game with like no glitches and stuff, which is obviously impossible.
I just wish the community had more mature gamers around the age of 20+, it would really help develop a Call of Duty, mature ideas and Open Betas... That's the life, but there's just too many young people that try to get crazy ideas thrown in the game, so Treyarch looks at ideas less and less.
There are many of us who know how to actually test things in a way that will improve the game, and would be willing to actually do so. Not only that, but we can communicate the problem so that it actually gets fixed.
Unfortunately, Activision is far too caught up in hyping the game and "revealing" it, that they're going to put off improving the game.
I'm gonna call it right now however:
If we don't get a Beta, Activision/Treyarch will come along with the usual reply of "We trust our internal testers and believe we can do a good enough job.".
In the first MONTH, there will be out of map exploits, at least one wall breach, and a weapon related glitch will have been found. There will be connection related issues discovered, aswell as a big weapon inbalance found.
And the companies will act surprised that none of this was caught during the testing phase of the game.
I didn't think Activsion had anything to do with this game - thought it was Treyarch only. When they have a Closed Beta they only let like 40 people play it and they just run through, they don't pay attention like some of us would. I personally think an Open Beta would make Black Ops 2 GOTY.
