Like I said, the ghost perk itself was not a big deal. A dot on the map is nothing. I was the pro side of the perk that recieved a lot of flack. Sure, with flack jacket you can survive a grenade blast, but with Ghost pro you become invisible to most killstreaks, which is a big deal.
I still don't see the point. Killstreaks should NOT GUARANTEE free kills. Again its this mindset that has ruined what the COD franchise should be about. Just because you get a chopper in the air does not mean that you should get an automatic 5-6 kills. The COD franchise should be about gun on gun play. This just shows that too many people rely on free kills other than actual skill to do what they need to do.
If I hear someone coming my direction YES I do ADS towards them. I can GUARANTEE that 90% of the COD community strafes around corners at one point or another ADS looking for an enemy. I constantly move on the map. I very rarely sit still (unless calling in a killstreak, etc) and watch for where my team is. Camping would be the little retard sitting in a bush waiting for someone to walk by.
You cant have one without the other if you remove Ghost then you have to remove Spyplane and Blackbird thats what makes 3arc games great because for every perk/killstreak they give us a counter
It's kind of given that the spy plane will once again be a lower killstreak and that players will have to either use the hide and seek perk or man up and let the nubs come chasing after them.
I don't see the problem with this in any way shape or form.
Yes, I agree. I was just stating why ghost was considered overpowered since you brought it up.
I believe the mindset of alot of people was that since there was not stopping power, a lot more people started using ghost. That's not to say that the other perks weren't being used as much. Just that Ghost served as more viable option to others. I read alot of complaining on how since more people were utilizing ghost pro, more and more people were getting less kills from their hard earned killstreaks. Thus the complaints of Ghost Pro being "too overpowered."
I do agree with your last post. My previous post was just clearing up your first reply.
I used ghost so I wouldn't be gunned down by helicopters.
You can have your ghost/assassin perk, it's a legitimate tactic of not showing up on the radar and getting killed by killstreaks, I respect that type of game play. But as for the people you abuse the perk by slowing down the gameplay and sit like a statue in ADS that I do not respect or acknowledge that as a "legit" tactic. That is why I ALWAYS use the SR-71 aka Blackbird to find turds and kill them mainly because it cannot be shot down and its shows exact location (I love it). And yes I am a headless chicken that sticks to running and gunning, but I do check my six every now and then as well as toss a stun/flash in "suspected" camper room or corner, but mostly run to flank enemies that are on the mini map so call me pacman. Sometimes but not always, do I rely on the radar because it is not an exact trust worthy tool (I got killed many times for gluing my eyes to the radar)
^^^^ this is a smart player. With this attitude there would be a lot less whining about a passive perk. I personally HATED the combo of Flak Jacket and Second Chance by campers. They could survive a LOT more than a camper with just Ghost on.
